Rebel Moon - Part Two: The Scargiver (2024)
Small amount of grain across the galaxy...
The whole premise of the Rebel Moon movies, the small amount of grain produced by a village on the far side of the galaxy - makes no sense. Why would a powerful galactic force, travel across the galaxy to bother some village over the small amount of grain they produce. This whole premise is ridiculous.
The cinematography is great. Some scenes are well done. But, there is no story that makes any sense.
The script is 3rd rate.
I've seen previous movies by Zack that were great but this and the 1st movie of this series totally fall apart in the story and script department.
I was so hopeful when I first heard about these movies.
But then I watched them and felt like I was watching a soon to be cancelled sci fi tv series.
The Orville (2017)
Embarrassing to watch
This is so bad it is embarrassing to watch. The idea is good, but the delivery is poor. The scripts and plots are immature. I tried watching this - I stuck it out until partway through episode 9 but could just not take any more. I get and like the idea of spoofing shows like Star Trek, but the writing and jokes are just so bad it is embarrassing to watch and I won't be watching any more.
The Walking Dead: Remember (2015)
To Good To Be True
Although not action-packed, this episode is full of tension.
They settle into Alexandria and things begin to look pretty "suburban-life". But, it just seems way too good to be true. All the characters feel this and are on their guard. There looks to be the beginnings of some interesting plot developments with Daryl and Carl.
There are minor conflicts and they meet a few of the citizens of Alexandria. The episode more or less coasts along at an even keel until Rick delivers the last line of the episode. Wham! This takes it from a 7/10 to at least a 9/10.
One of the best episodes this season. Can't wait until the next one!
