The Wheel of Time: Blood Calls Blood (2021)
So much changed for the worse!
This is the worst episode so far. They've twisted and changed so much of the original story. I had such high hopes but now I just feel let down.
They skipped a big character development piece by skipping Rand and Mat's stopover in Caemlyn.
Loial is much smaller than in the books. He's meant to tower over the humans, but he's marginally taller than Rand and doesn't need to bend over to get through doorways (as is such a regular inconvenience to him in the books). Very disappointing.
The dragged out scenes and lengthy storyline with Stepin, the funerals and melting the ring is definitely not in the books and just felt so painful to watch drag out. So many unnecessary scenes to explain the Warder bond. Feels like that time wasted could have been better spent on doing the Caemlyn scenes.

Good story, great visuals, terrible dubbing/dialogue
The overall storyline and visual effects are pretty good, but it is unfortunately let down every time a character speaks.
The terribly unauthentic dubbing detracts so much that it's almost cringeworthy to watch.
Whilst the concept and direction of the story is really good, it could have been fleshed out so much more. Character development was also lacking or rushed as a result, with the dialogue feeling awkward or confusing throughout. Eddie Marsan and his character were the only ones saved of this. Sad to see the missed opportunities here though.
But if you can get past the dubbing/dialogue, then this really is worth watching.
