The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim (2011 Video Game)
10/10
One of the greatest RPG's ever made
18 May 2015
Once again on here, I had to pinch myself when I seen some of the user 'reviews' saying that Skyrim, without any shadow of a doubt one of the greatest games ever is 1/10 awful. If you sort reviews for 'hated it' first, read the very first review by Keydria, it is actually hilariously bad and inaccurate. My personal fav statement is 'It doesn't even have multi-player' which obviously shows just how clueless this person is; why the hell would an offline ES game have multiplayer? As anyone with a brain knows, 'critic' reviews are not worth reading, a fact that, if there was ever any doubt in, was blown away by nearly all of them giving a piece of crap like gta5 10/10. Anyone who really is a gamer though, will have scored Skyrim 9/10 or greater.

The game achieves a level of immersion and replayability that other games can only dream of. You can take a character, one that you have designed and do anything in the world, the role play element is very, very strong. The game looks good and 'feels' authentic, like you really are in Skyrim, land of the Nords, up there with the atmosphere of Morrowind.

For anyone who has yet to play this awesome game, you will love it, but make sure you go back on here and have a laugh at some of the negative 'reviews'.

10/10
A masterpiece and by far the best Vietnam movie
18 May 2015
Reading some of the 'reviews' on here, it seems that some of the people writing them have been smoking some of what they smoked a lot of during the Vietnam conflict. It baffles me how so many people can have so little taste or appreciation for what is an absolute stunning movie.

The atmosphere it creates is so authentic, so chilling, so insane, that it alone beats every other Vietnam movie hands down. Add to that an incredible soundtrack and score, along with a career best performance from Sheen and you have a wonderful movie. It goes even further though featuring the greatest actor of all time, Marlon Brando.

It is an epic masterpiece that will blow you away if you have never seen it before. It will also make you wonder why, these days with all the money spent on effects etc, the vast, vast majority of other movies, of any genre cannot pull off believable, compelling atmospheres and settings. Apocalypse now is a perfect example of that; the atmosphere is so compelling and the acting, so convincing that you are almost instantly hooked.

If you have not yet seen this classic, watch it now! Then watch it again and wonder why oh why it took you so long.

The Godfather (1972)
10/10
An absolute masterpiece. Epic
18 May 2015
So just like the reason I joined Metacritic, once I seen there actually negative reviews for The Godfather on here I just had to sign up.

For anyone who has yet to see The Godfather, please do not believe any 'review' that gives this classic any less than 9/10. The negative reviews on here are laughable; one in particular by Revan is pathetic. Anyone who is stupid enough to genuinely think The Godfather is not a great movie has no idea what makes a good film what so ever.

The Godfather is near perfection; the most important aspect of any movie has to be the acting itself, which in the Godfather will blow you away. Featuring the greatest actor of all time, Marlon Brando, in one of best ever performances. The rest of the cast are almost as impressive with absolutely no weak performances at all.

The story is superb and totally compelling and its just one of those films that is so good you just do not want it to end. I actually envy people who have not seen it in a way, as that first time is the best.

Without any shadow of a doubt, the greatest gangster movie of all time, and probably the best movie of all time as well. Amazing

Grand Theft Auto V (2013 Video Game)
6/10
Probably the most disappointing game of all time
18 May 2015
Anyone who gives this game a 10/10 is either insane, is being paid by Rockstar, is about 12 years old or has never played any other game before. It is without doubt the most disappointing game of all time and a 6/10 at absolute best and the scores the 'critics' have given it just proves the fact that they are not worth reading.

Good - Not very much, but the 3 characters are well designed and the map itself is adequate in size. The overall gameplay is solid and there is definitely some fun to be had with some of the set piece missions standing out in particular.

Bad - Where to start? No ambient hiests, severe, almost criminal lack of interiors, no character progression, development or empire building of any kind, unable to buy houses, unable to enter owned businesses (lack of interiors!), awful, awful story, only around 30% of the map is actually used for anything useful, the friend 'like' % has been ditched so doing any activity with any other character is pointless, the girlfriend system is awful, unfinished concepts (Trevors meth business) and in general just terrible design decisions everywhere. There is a total lack of anything meaningful to do in this game; I mean its all well and good being able to play golf but where are things like dealing etc that can be used to run a criminal empire? Verdict - The most overrated, over-hyped game ever made which is a shame because it could, and should have been great. If you like driving around aimlessly with the option to play a pointless minigame this could be the game for you. If you have a brain though, you will be left bitterly disappointed by an average game thats a 6/10 (generous) and one of the worst games in the GTa series, FACT.
