Painful to get through

I am writing this as I finish this movie that I paused and restarted about 10 times. It's pretty slow and pretty boring but I kind of wanted to finish it to get the entire story. It's just glorifying what happened with MaryKay in the 90s. It's strange. I do like Natalie Portman though and she does play some weird roles. I didn't really understand the point of the movie to be honest. It was just kind of OK. This is their life now. Just pretty weird all the way around. I kind of feel bad for the young father. I know that in real life, MaryKay passed away, and before that they had already split up so I assume that would be the case here.

Pepsi, Where's My Jet? (2022)

Don't waste your time.

This could have been an hour long. I kept thinking "Get to the point already" This was the longest drawn out crap I have ever watched. The first episode was decent and entertaining but the rest of it was more about two guys and their friendship and climbing mountains and random people doing the Pepsi challenge.

Here is what happens so you can save 4 hours of your life.... 2 dudes meet on a mountain. Pepsi runs an ad about winning a jet for 7,000,000 Pepsi points.

The one dude figures out how to win the jet. Pepsi didn't put a disclaimer on the ad. The second dude buys enough Pepsi points to purchase it.

They go to court. The first dude turns down $1,000,000.

Pepsi wins. Dudes get nothing. The end.

I'm saddened by this. How humiliating to this generation (my generation).

Disgusting behavior and shame on these festival producers. Should have been shut down after night one.

I live in Western NY and was 19 at the time. I almost went to this event and THANK GOODNESS I didn't. I have friends who attended and left Saturday morning after one of my friends ended up in the local hospital from rolling on ecstasy while completely dehydrated.

This festival never should have happened.

Dazed and Confused (1993)

Classic

I started watching this movie when I was in 7th grade. My friends and I would rotate who was renting it from blockbuster next and show up at each other's houses and watch it over and over. This movie is iconic.

It's fun to look back now and still know every line word for word and to see people who were acting in some of their early roles.

The Guilty (2021)

Ok so I love some Jake. This fell short. Even a movie that is entirely focused on one side of a phone call with a camera on his face for 90 minutes wasn't enough.

Ok I have watched this a few times. Every time I do I get legitimately angry over that terrible actress that is cast as Brooke. Yikes. She can't act at all and her facial expressions are cringe worthy.

She ruins the entire movie. So bad.

The Princess and the Frog (2009)

Boring and lifeless

What the heck did I just watch?! The only reason I watched it is because my family just returned from Disney and wanted to catch up on a few movies we hadn't seen.

What a snooze-fest. And the entire movie the two main characters are frogs. Ummmm wasn't there supposed to be a princess in this movie because she appeared for about a total of 10 minutes.

I am sad for all little girls who were excited to see the first black princess and ended up with garbage.

Not to mention that Tiana isn't even a princess, she's a waitress and the only character that was actually a princess was the annoying white girl.

Holy moly they need to remake this movie to give Tiana the moment she deserves. This was truly horrible.

The Hustle (I) (2019)

Good chemistry between Anne and Rebel but something was missing.... it felt a bit slow paced at times. There were definitely some laugh out loud scenes to make up for it.

I was really excited to watch this movie since I am such a fan of Atypical. What a terrible message to send to young girls.... so the lead female character is basically saying that if she would have just said "I love you" back then dude wouldn't have gone on a psycho jealousy killing spree? Garbage.

Berlin Syndrome (2017)

Kind of predictable and just not all that interesting

I wasn't that impressed. Kind of felt like Fifty Shades of Grey with an Australian Kristen Stewart but less sexy and mostly in German. It kept my attention mainly because I was waiting for something unpredictable to happen...which it didn't. The female lead was excellent (much better actor than Kristen Stewart even though they look alike) and the male lead was good as well but I felt like the character could have been stronger. Good to watch if you are bored but not a top pick by any means.

Rough Night (2017)

Quirky and fun

This movie is not going to be winning awards anytime soon… But it wasn't terrible… I went into it with extremely low expectations based on the reviews that I had read. To be honest, at first I thought it was going to be so terrible that I would want to turn it off. But I did laugh throughout the movie and Kate McKinnon was a blast to watch. Again, not an award winning movie but fun for something to watch that doesn't require too much thought. Slightly similar to other hangover / bridesmaid type movies but had its own story.
