Interview with the vampire is my favourite film, so when I saw this advertised I was immediately keen to watch it. I wasn't keen on the cast, it differed so much from the film, so I didn't have high expectations for it to be honest. The first episode I watched a little begrudgingly and it took me a little time to stop comparing the film to the show and enjoy it for what it was. It didn't take me long to warm to Jacob as Louis and by the time Sam (Lestat) was introduced, I was hooked. For me, Sam absolutely made this show, I was torn between being a little disgusted by him and also finding him rather attractive. There were parts that made me jump, parts that made me laugh and parts that made me a little sad. The storyline differs quite a bit from the film which I was uncertain about at first, but the more I watched, the more I loved it. I wasn't keen on Claudia in the show, I found her character irritating for the most part, though credit to Bailey, I do think she was a good actress, I just didn't like her dialogue and behaviour.
Overall, I definitely think this is worth a watch, I was hesitant about it but I thoroughly enjoyed it in the end and have recommended it to friends and family.
