Where the Crawdads Sing (2022)
Grace
With skepticism I sat on my chair and hoped for something that would at least make time pass by with minimum amount of entertainment. In fact I thought this was some kind of a crime/horror movie. I must admit it appears I have adopted a habit of misjudging a film by its cover, literally. I think everyone would think that such behavior of mine is not good in life but in this case, I was grateful for it. Unlike the beginning I was able to embrace this movie with grace for its enticing scenario and story telling tempo. It was done in such a finesse that the movie managed to keep a viewer who was expecting something totally different focused til the end and wanting for more, such as a book.
Prey (2022)
Amazing predator movie!
This was way more entertaining than I expected. Best predator movie up to date. The only downside is that I can't watch more of it. I hope they make sequel of this new predator series. Also, little bit of indigenous knowledge was very interesting.
Honor Society (2022)
Very good movie.
This movie was highly enjoyable. The plot, the drama, was particularly good. Most importantly it didn't try to be special or anything like that; it wasn't pretentious, so there was no cringe for me personally. The movie was fun to watch is what I'm saying. However, the main character goes into this narration monologue very often, in fact most of the times, and I can see how some people are going to be put off by that. I was at first, at least. But if you pass that, you'll be sucked into the movie without even realizing it and not only that, you would love those narrating moments.
I took one star out, well most people did because... well, if you watch you'd know. Hahahaha.
Night Stalker: The Hunt for a Serial Killer (2021)
Phenomenal TV
Now this is not only informative, sensational, shocking, but most importantly entertaining. It makes you binge watch; is what I'm saying. If you are like me, who is very interested in true crime materials but could never really get into true crime podcasts because those were all just about narrators showing themselves off, then this will be a good tv for you.
The first half of the very first episode might be little challenging though, because it's about podcasts narrators literally introducing themselves. Only in this case it's the detectives and not the narrators. Worst part of this is that... Like...why? Why just them? You'll ask same question after watching the whole episodes. Hahaha.
The Old Man (2022)
I knew it
I knew it and yet I fell for it. I feel so stupid. The title is a giveaway. Tha'ts the first clue. This is another pretentious tv, and the contents confirmed it. You know, walking dead has a high score in this community. Stars mean nothing. That should've been my second clue.
The Bear (2022)
drama exhibit
It's like the whole thing is "trying" to create this serious in depth human drama vibe. The plot itself is shallow. I liked the cooking part though. It was very small, by the way.
What the Health (2017)
-1 million stars out of 10
"Sugar is not the main cause of diabetes." Stopped watching right then and there. They said that without any scientific backup. The only thing this documentary relies on is statements in some articles or from some doctors. What the Health to you filmmaker. Haven't you heard of paid content? Haven't you heard of Fructose? Oh, wait. 2017. I get it. I'm sorry. Perhaps I should've just rated it to -100 out of 10 stars.
Oh, one last thing. What's in the processed meat? Frrrrrrrrrructooooooose!
The Batman (2022)
EPIC
This movie is Epic. What a grandeur drama! 100 out of 10, that's what I would give to this movie. Greatest movie of our generation, is what I would like to say.
From (2022)
Lost 2022
Seeing the main actor, the black actor, makes this series feel like "Lost"; He was in that series too. It is especially so because even the genre is the same. I mean come on. This is "Lost" done better. Or so I thought. Watching the last episode of season 1 made my doubt into certainty. The studio will deviate from their original plan, they will lost track and the show will be about everything-nothing, just like "Lost". I mean season 1 of "From" offered no answer or what so ever. We didn't expect answer for the entire situation. No way. But did we expect at least one clear answer? Yes, of course we did but NO. NADA!
The Morning Show (2019)
You should've postponed season 2 premiere that so you could've
You must feel so bad, such a shame isn't it? Knowing that you could not cover Russia incursions. You must be smashing your desks, or something, right now. If only you knew and could've postponed season 2 premiere date. What a shame. I mean, Season 1 was very good but then in season 2, they try to cover everything. I mean come on, I don't want to be reminded of certain reality stuff when I'm just sitting back and trying to enjoy my free time dude! I didn't wait for season 2 for different plots! The main plot is almost buried here! It becomes a side plot. I'm not exaggerating. It really does. And what they did with that one character, Bravo. To create a drama, to keep viewers, they literally change this character into someone else; someone totally different. Jesus christ. Why watch it, man? Each episode betrays previous episode! OH? OH!!? SEASON 3!!! You're gonna cover Russia incursions in Season 3!!! I can't wait to watch it. Wow. Greatest show. Hey, by the way, dare to cover Biden son's laptop?
Resident Alien (2021)
Very good of them to --
Raise the range of the viewer age. Season 1 was definitely including people under 20, but in season 2 they obviously ditched them. I'm not being sarcastic, it's more enjoyable now because so.
Malignant (2021)
Waaay better than Marble or DT
This is waaay better than Marble or DT super duper nonsense hero action movies. Seriously. I mean most action movie is better than that now, I guess. Stone this, stone that? Stone stone stone it all stone. Did you stone the stone? Stone must've been stoned to stone the stones hogwash. Jesus christ enough with the stones already.
You know how Glass was limited by its' previously set universe and story? Well, this one is like that movie without that limit. Really enjoyed watching this movie. The weirdness of it all is as weird as how intriguing it is.
As We See It (2022)
20 out of 10
Dude! This story is baller. I was only planning to watch one or two episode of season 1 but it got me binge watch the whole season. It was funny, heartful, dramatic and got me angry time to time as well, which is like perfect. Hahahahaha. I am very much looking forward to seeing season 2.
Inventing Anna (2022)
Now this is a TV
Best tv-series is out in mid-february! Here right now! Hahahahaha. How nice is that?
I enjoyed "Inventing Anna" very much. I think I'll watch the whole series again in about 2-3 months or so. And then I'll watch again in another 2-3 months or so, just like what I do with all my other favorite tv-series.
Post Mortem: No One Dies in Skarnes (2021)
mood twists too drastically often times
When it's comedy vibe it's way too much of comedy vibe, when it should be this eerie vibe it goes eerie, back and forth; that's too much change.
Clickbait (2021)
Makes mare of easttown look like B grade
This was way much better than Mare of Easttown. I thought there wasn't going to be any crime mystery tv-sereis better than Mare of Easttown in 2021 but then out of nowhere Clickbait appeared and surpised me. When I started watching this I was preparing myself for a cheap cheesy subpar B grade tv series. I was wrong. Sure Mare of Easttown had better actors, no doubt, but what they have in here is far better crime mystery series. Two thumb sup.
The White Lotus (2021)
I watched the same show, yes?
Incredibly booooring-! Wow! Wow!! How could anybody like this? 9 stars? 10 stars!? For this?! What?! I just can't imagine anybody wanting to watch a series with characters that overreacts and gets hung over by such trivial problems. There's no drama or what so ever, the first character which you are supposed to be empathetic about turns out to be an unlikable person right out of the gate, the whole plot is just flat for three consecutive episodes.
Wu xia (2011)
100 out of 10!
The best kung fu movie ever!! Oh my god! This movie is fantastic!
Kevin Can F**k Himself (2021)
If you can not stand Kevin then skip all the sitcom parts
If you can not stand Kevin then skip all the sitcom parts. That's basically what I did.
At first I didn't know what I was going in for. I thought this was another good-old cheesy sitcom. I went in and the series was so cringey and so annoying that it even provoked violence. But then all of a sudden lighting changed, the mood changed, the whole vibe changed. That's when I realized what this series was going for. Yes, the sitcom part is more focused on sending a message than the actual plot so it could be immersion breaking. Yes, it is immensely annoying and it is meant to be like that. I couldn't stand it, so like I said, I just skipped most of them. Now, knowing the season 1 plot, I can't wait for season 2.
Evil (2019)
I love the plot
I love the plot. I can't wait to watch season 2. I know it hasn't finished yet and I normally prefer watching a series that had a season finale but this one I'll gladly just dive in. Oh by the way, there are parts where it makes absolutely no sense. Like, if you can see it ____ then how the heck is that _____??? Small things like that will pile up but don't let it get to you. Think of it as comedy.
Why Women Kill (2019)
Oh man what a series!
At first, I wasn't really a fan of yet another time travelling multiple times in each episodes but dang! In the end I ended up loving the series! I can't wait to watch season 2, when it's over. Hahahaha.
Oh, by the way, Simone.😍
Bliss (2021)
I like both ways.
I'm a very strong individual. I can laugh and have fun more than most people without having to smoke, drink, or what have you, so I never even got what this movie was really about until I started internet searching. Hahahaha. Anyway, at first, when I understood the movie, I thought, "Oh-! So that's what it was about." But then there is this one scene near the end that kind of contradicts both theories. You have to see it yourselves. That scene could just be symbolic and philosophical? But if it's not then it is in fact a Sci-fi movie.
Gringo (2018)
How the heck did I miss this?
Hahahaha I can't believe I've been missing a gold mine right around the corner. This movie was so immersive and thrilling I was into it the whole time. I can't point a single part that I didn't like!
The Tomorrow War (2021)
Plot-hole of the year
While the movie does deliver thrill by shooting at raged monster aliens, it often shows biggest plot-hole I've seen this year. So yea, this movie definitely has guns, aliens, blood, thrill, little bit of gore, AND comedy (which brought by the plot-holes like a honey comb). Enjoy.
Werewolves Within (2021)
This is so Ubisoft
This is so Ubisoft! Hahaha. The film has every comedy and drama style that current Ubisoft pursues. I thought I was watching a longer version of one of their game trailer. I'm serious. I'm not exaggerating.
Now, that is not to say that the movie is bad. It isn't phenomenal, no, but it's okay. Good for passing time with casual joy. Plus, I really like the black guy. I don't know his name so I guess I don't really like him but I've been a bit fond of him as an actor ever since I saw him on Veep.
