Entourage (2015)
All the drama, cameos, and Hollywood lifestyle fans have missed!!
Mark Wahlberg and HBO have finally come to their senses and brought back all of the "Entourage" boys back in style again!-That includes, Vinny Chase, E Murphy, Johnny "Drama", Turtle, and Ari mother f**king Gold! I'm just a recent fan of the hit show. A couple of months ago I thought I'd start to watch the series so I rented all 8 seasons from my local library and literally right after the first episode, I was uncontrollably hooked! It only took maybe not even barely 2 weeks to watch all 96 episodes in my room every single night disc after disc. Now in their big movie debut, they pick up right after major movie star Vinny Chases failed marriage and he is now ready to direct his own big movie under the studio helm of the hardboiled Ari Gold. This movie has a million things going on, trouble with the budget and the movies co-financiers, Relationships with some that don't know where to take it. Here's the deal, some critics aren't into the movie because some may feel it doesn't have a very tight story nailed down, but to me even after just watching all the seasons, this movie perfectly picks up where the show was hanging. All the actors are without a doubt back in top form perfectly cast as their characters, and all the sub-plots that are going on is just like how it would be like in the series. I'm not saying their wrong, but in all honesty I just think this is only for die hard fans, which I now like to consider myself as.This movie is basically 3-4 episodes in one! That can be often a bad thing with some other TV-movies adaptations. I just couldn't help but feel overwhelmed with the excitement I had watching all these guys act with their camaraderie style of how these guys act with each other! As for people who are not familiar with the series, if you ask me, technically yes this movie can stand on its own but it is a 100 times better with the show in mind going into this because your appreciation comes with and helps make this a great experience! The show back then and also the movie deals with little controversy because these guys, yeah I'll say it, they're basically douche-bags. To me, they're fun douche-bags. I wouldn't be certain if I actually liked these guys in person but like Jeremy Pivens Ari Gold says in the film that there is a certain relationship with these guys that makes it charming in a way. Just the dialogue alone is great with the 4 friends whatever they're doing. For most guys out there who have an "Entourage", this could appeal to you just on the fact of a few buddies strolling around the streets talking and joking with one another. The only thing that might've taken me away from the movie is that some of the cameos were sort of hit or miss. Not total miss that it was a failed attempt but like a cameo wasn't as strong as the last one or as good. All that said, I think "Entourage" is a great start to summer movies! I got just enough laughs throughout and was constantly interested in seeing what was going on in most of the sub-plots, just like how you would feel in the show with each episode. I wish it could've been longer, but as a fan with everyone bringing it to the table what they did, I truly believe they have succeeded by bringing that style and feel back, but now on a big screen, which made everything alone feel much more cool.
Avengers: Age of Ultron (2015)
Evil robots, Character moments, Non stop badassary! THIS is what Marvel Studios does best!
Every movie Marvel had put it had been just one tough act to follow again and again, but somehow they always out do themselves! Downey Jr., Hemsworth, Ruffalo, Evans, Renner, Johannson are all back for the new installment. It's their great reunited team since 2012's "The Avengers". What makes this different from that first "Avengers" movie is that when we open up in this one with a bad ass scene is that everyone's strengths and abilities are helpful towards one another. They are an actual team that can work together and fight together. You truly get to see what makes each and every one of them a kick ass superhero! That's right, even Jeremy Renners Hawkeye! Marvel finally gave him some screen time and actual great stuff to do here. As far as other stars we got Aaron Taylor- Johnson and Elizabeth Olsen playing as Maximof twins, trained to be henchmen of Hydra but eventually become under Ultron wing, played by the amazing James Spader. Once James Spader's Ultron starts causing havoc, it's not only The Avengers strongest physical threat, but mentally. Adding the Maximof towns to this story was great because with their powers and wit, they manage to really make The Avengers face and think of their worst fears. Hallucinations and mind control and super speed, that's a hell of a henchmen team. There's a point in the movie when The Avengers have to hideout and not be on Ultrons radar, and for me that scene is when things were kicking off. There's a ton of drama in there and conflicts and still plenty of surprises about The Avengers talk about why they do what they do, and maybe some stuff in there which some of them take a negative feeling to what powers they have or not able to feel completed in life. What I've been hearing a ton lately is that the movie is too jokey in some parts, often too destructive, and just flat out too loud. I'm just gonna say some things to make up for what people have said. Is it jokey? - Why yes of course it is you can have humor so you can balance out the dark stuff that may be in there. Is it too destructive?- The threat is bigger so you'd understand why the spectacle is there, but it never goes the "Transformers" route where there is just unnecessary damage and death everywhere. A lot of fans walked into this film with the expectation from its very sad dopey trailer that this was gonna be like "The Dark Knight" almost. Is it "The Dark Knight"? No it shouldn't have to be, it's got everything in place to be where it can be a little dark and fun. It's really not like totally for kids. All the emotional and tense stuff is balanced just right and this what I expected it to be! Also when a scene is tense, it's really tense! You can't always walk into a movie expecting it to be just exactly like the trailer, well on some conditions Maybe you can but overall just go on there with an open mind and enjoy yourself, I don't see how you couldn't, like Ultron says, "Oh for Gods sake!" It's "The Avengers"! It's a punch a minute, a laugh a minute, ugh it's what you want for an "Avengers" flick! It's what I mentioned at the beginning, Marvel outdoing their selfs with every film. And yes, Marvel's "Avengers:Age Of Ultron" is so far they're best adventure to date, unless July's "Ant-Man" can knock it off the top rank. What's funny about that comparison is that I'm serious, it could, Marvel is just THAT good.
