Does Disney better than Disney
19 November 2019
Easily a new Christmas Classic. The traditional animation is incredibly well crafted, the visual gags bring a smile to every scene, and the characters have so much thought into them you'd believe they were real people speaking on the screen. It's a waste if this movie never comes to DVD. I desperately want to own it at home.

Okay to watch, but nothing special
18 August 2016
Warning: Spoilers
To summarize, Robin was unlikable and got the most screen time. Very misleading title (the titans only fight justice league for 3 minutes at most). Too much time was wasted on scenes that contributed nothing to the characters or story. Superman did most of the fighting. Very anime-like and not very comic-like. Bad writing when introducing new powers or character development. The story was rushed, and had an easy-solve ending. I'm not going to write out my full review, but I'll leave a link to my youtube video if you want a play-by-play. The movie was okay when watching, but when you're done and think back on it, you realize everything they did wrong, and would probably not watch again.

Decent, could've been better

I wouldn't have said Matthew was the best role for Inspector Gadget, but after seeing the movie, I had a change of heart. Although it's not really close to the original, it's a funny interpretation of the character. I know it's a Disney movie, but I do wish they didn't make such corny jokes and were a little more serious from time to time. I like the addition of the Gadget mobile being a living car; He turned out to be a funny character! I also love Gadget's origin story and crush on Brenda! They fit the character well. Although Penny and Brain ended up not doing much in the whole movie, which was a little disappointing. But, I did enjoy the fact Gadget was able to save the day on his own rather then receiving their help like he always does in the series. It shows even though he's naive, he's learning! I knew this movie was born to have a sequel, but the sequel was so awful I wish I could unsee it! Never watch the sequel, guys!!

Potential wasted
6 July 2015
I have to give the show a thumbs down. While the show is still called "Inspector Gadget", the episodes typically revolve around Penny. What a waste! And although Gadget's naivety is pushed to the max, all his other personality traits seem to be gone. What about his ironic over-protecting of Penny? What about how he falls for every pretty lady he meets? Why is Brain such a grumpy grump? Why is Penny so awkward? Also, the super high-tech background is so unnecessary. They already had their own technology in the original series. And I definitely don't approve of the forced romance between Talon and Penny. Don't even get me started!

Inspector Gadget (1983–2023)

Lovable
6 July 2015
Despite the bad voice actor of Penny, and the old animation, this show is incredibly cute. You can really see the love and care between all three main characters. Inspector Gadget's dumb luck is funny every time, and each episode ends with a good safety tip for the kids. I would rate higher if the show was occasionally more serious. While I love the running gags, I would also like to see Gadget's origins, and learn more about the characters rather than watch them do the same things over and over. Too bad the series ended. This show has tons of potential, even now. I would suggest another reboot! Perhaps, one that taps into these questions. The 1999 movie was a pretty decent one.

Wander Over Yonder (2013–2016)

Mccracken never lets us down
16 June 2015
When I first watch the episode The Picnic, I wasn't sure if I liked it or not. I thought Wander was a little too annoying and hyperactive, and I didn't like the idea of him being so perfect he's able to get away with anything, unscratched. After realizing the show was made by Craig Mccracken, I decided to give it another go. So, I watched The Fugitives. This episode was much more satisfying to me cause it showed Wander was not perfect, and the fact he was literally obsessed with helping people was a hilarious concept. Wander is like a combo of Spongebob and Wilt (from Foster's Home for Imaginary Friends). He's super hyperactive and naive, but also very helpful and kind. He's sidekick Sylvia is the smarter, tougher half. Their relationship is so cute. Sylvia gives Wander strength and protection, while Wander gives Sylvia calm and kindness. The series is definitely worth watching. While I've only disliked two episodes (The Troll and The Hero), the rest has made me laugh and smile. I've loved it so much, just hearing the theme song will make me smile now. And I am so excited for season 2, and the seasons to come! While the first season was plot-less, the next season will have more serious story arcs!!
