Funny stuff, give it a try.

I must say this is the type of movie I often prefer at tired days, like when being hungover. It is the classic romantic comedy with intelligent humor and just the right amount of romance.

The story is simple with a really targeted ending and you can't get lost in it. Megan (Annaleigh Tipton) is the typical break-up suffering girl who wants to get her life back on track and therefore signs in on a dating site expecting a simple one night stand. She connects with Alec (Miles Teller) and the expected thing happens. However, it gets complicated when a snowstorm blocks her way out of the building/apartment next day, so she is stuck with her yesterday's not much liked lover.

I won't continue to sum up the rest because it is really a great pack of funny events, character teasing, good romance and a little educational value that should not be spoiled.

To explain the 7 stars: The acting is good and the same is the chemistry between characters/actors. The scenario and dialogs are really good, but the top is definitely the intelligent sense of humor. What I missed is a better directing job which is solid but not good enough to be recognized. Also there is the ending I haven't liked and the lack of some good music.

Summed up I recommend the movie, especially at lazy days or for hangover 'treating'. Could also work for a dating movie, try it.

Disappointing...

Warning: Spoilers
Watching the trailer gave me the impression this would be like a good and complex story with lots of complications. However, it is not the case at all. The story is pretty shallow and doesn't have a red line where you could sense a targeted ending.

Everything turns around the following question - What would happen if someone's brain gets to a full capacity. I must say according to the movie it can be summarized as you get the telekinetic abilities and knowledge in the world just flies into you. And once you reach 100% it becomes a divine power and you are everywhere and everything. So simple can an answer be.

Despite a good performance and distraction from Scarlett Johansson once she got the capacity increase (because the 'scared girl' play in the beginning was really raspberry worthy) I could not help myself to wonder why this wasn't the story a viewer would expect according to the trailer. I mean, a villain wouldn't really harm the movie. The Asian gang weren't real opponents because they weren't presenting the danger and the french cop was a terrible intermezzo. To sum up the final and deciding opinion, everything happened way too fast. The drug bust, the cerebral capacity increase and even the final shootout. I assume they shortened everything because they had been feeling they were loosing the red line.

Putting everything together I must admit the lack excitement or any entertainment. The positive thing is the play all-round was very solid and the effects were interesting. However, a big minus for the scenario.
