Only Murders in the Building (2021– )

Selena Gomez ruins this show

A nice show overall, Martin and Short are entertaining, plot is ok.. ...but Selena Gomez is absolutely awful.

Unfortunately, her acting is bad and very slow, she is hard to understand when she talks, she has a boring monotone voice, and she is not attractive. Like a robot without any emotions in a thick cotton sweater, and no sense of humour.

I wonder why they picked her? There are thousands of actresses out there, who would be a much better fit, and would have improved the show massively. But Selena probably bought her way into this show...

Maybe there will be another murder in the building in season 4, and we'll get a new female lead... or her sister arrives and takes over.. or she has a new girlfriend and vanishes for the season.. there is still hope...

Boring, stupid, bad actors

One of the worst and boring shows.

Ad Season 3:

Characters are awfully dull, slow and stupid. Bad acting and wrong actors for the characters. The main actor, and the Izzy girl are the worst (she is probably the daughter of a producer to get the part).

Only interesting character is the blonde agent.

The writing is really bad as well. The show makes no sense, and has lots and lots of holes. IT doesn't work that way, neither does law enforcement. Also, it insults every entrepreneur. Probably written by a bunch of teenagers.

Don't watch.

PS: didn't know that the Rolex Day Date (from the main character) is a quartz watch... (S03/Ep10)

Power Book II: Ghost (2020–2024)

Boring

Power started out great and was entertaining, but Book II is based on the uninteresting son, who is quite hard to understand when talking, and not very likeable as well.

After watching a couple of episodes, I started fast forwarding, and ultimately quit watching the rest by mid season 3.

A lot of very boring conversations didn't help, also the rich white kids/cops/people are displayed as very stupid or plain dumb, whereas the main character and his friends (and all women in this series) are awfully clever and smart, and know everything about everything - and everybody is impressed by them every time they speak.

Also, a) the plot has massive holes, and b) I honestly hope that everybody gets caught and put in prison, because I don't care about any of the characters, and I dislike all of them.

Where is Ghost and Tommy, why not continue and expand the Power series with them?

It was an awful choice to produce this Power spinoff - don't waste your time watching it.

The Rookie (2018– )

a policeshow produced by women for women: "I'm sorry Ma'am"

The Rookie is entertaining and fast paced - and could have been a great police show - but two things spoil the success:

1) There are many mistakes in regard to police procedures - this is really a shame, because this could be easily fixed. Some episodes are simple stupid.

2) All men in this show are either dumb or macho. All women are tough, smart, strong, wise and know everything - in each and every episode. Also men are constantly apologizing: "Yes, Ma'am. I'm so sorry Ma'am.", "You are right of course. Thank you Ma'am. I wasn't listening.". "I want to apologize Ma'am.", and so on. The tough women fight convicts twice their size, have all the answers to all problems in the universe, and help men beeing less dumb - and of course help them apologize.

This is a police show made by women, for women, where men act like in a woman's fairy tale - women lecture men in regards to romance, life, work, and generally everything else - like the former soldier female Chief - while wearing red high heels...

Too much unrealistic emancipation in this show for me.

Thank you Ma'am.

The Beach Bum (2019)

just sad...

Combine Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas, Wolf of Wallstreet and Big Lebowski, and you probably get a great movie - unfortunately not in this case. You watch a rich, constantly drunk, drug addict, stumbling around, doing whatever he wants, whenever he wants. He has everything, then he has nothing, then everything again, and so on.. - pointless. A rich beach bum on his ego trip - nothing else, no deeper or greater meaning. Only a drunk, living his live as a drunk - just sad. Great cast, poor story - a wasted chance - could have been a good movie.

Captain Marvel (2019)

boring and bad lead

During the whole movie Samuel L Jackson looks like he knows that it has no chance of (box office) success - especially with this lead actress. Unfortunately the main character is quite dull and reminds of a spoiled little "whatever" girl instead of a strong charismatic woman. It was a pain watching here act. Also the movie is quite boring and has some lengths - therefore, no recommendation.

The Professor (I) (2018)

unfortunately a waste of time

Johnny Depp playing himself.. drunk and on drugs. His constant mumbling is hard to understand, and his acting is on the edge of embarrassement - I felt a little bit sorry for his fellow actors who had to work with him. The story is weak with no impact - this could have been dead poet's society, but was only sad and boring. A sober actor would have been the better choice, also a more meaningful story. If you want to watch Johnny Depp at his best, try Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas.

South Park: A Boy and a Priest (2018) Season 22, Episode 2

South Park, you can do MUCH better!

South Park had some really great epsiodes so far, but the last two epsiodes (and most of last season) are simply boring and stupid - not funny stupid - only repetitive and boring. South Park, you can do MUCH better! PS: please save the fake ratings on imdb, nobody would give the last two episodes a 10/10 - never.

Luke Skywalker tries to kill a child?

Well, I think that's it for Star Wars...

In addition - empty characters, boring plot - in fact it's part 4+5+6 merged together - with a stupid story.

The movie is a typical example for the quick buck with a big name - after watching this gem I will sell my Walt Disney shares.

No more Star Wars for me - I rather watch part 4+5+6 again (for the 10th time) than watching another awful rip off, spoiling my childhood memories.

Jean-Claude Van Johnson (2016–2017)

I was looking forward to see Jean-Claude in JCVJ.

In short - the good things about JCVJ:

• JC displays some nice acting (e.g. as the Time Cop guy)
• some episodes are fun

The not so good things about JCVJ:

• some scenes/episodes are too long and boring
• fight scenes of female cast are quite bad
• JC looks most of the time really unhappy/bad - a litte bit like a depressed drug addict - some laugh/grin from JC and the series would have been much better.

Overall a 4/10 - I don't think there will be a second season, although with a better/smarter script and a re-energized JC this could have been a success.

@JC - more JChan slapstick, witty dialogues, and fast paced fights, with a less "depressed" action star could do the trick for JCVJ.

How to Get Away with Murder (2014–2020)

Do you like watching spoiled, stupid kids and angry women? Then this show is for you..

LOL - wondering about the viewers who give this show a good rating...

It's a really awful and dumb show with spoiled, whining women, cheating men and stupid and sometimes illegal twists to win the cases - but not in an entertaining way.

Each character is more obnoxious than the next, worst of all - in each episode, women are either cruel or crying and accusing, or both - it's a real pain to watch them act, talk and always complain or cry or demand or accuse or lie or cheat... - seems like the show was created by a very unhappy divorced wife to get her anger out...

And the best thing - the only half-decent character in this show is killed - LOL

Not recommended.

Hitman: Agent 47 (2015)

exciting, fascinating, tense and a lot of fun...

...are the Hit-man games. Unfortunately this movie is not.

main character - way too skinny, looks like a Bulgarian clerk - where is the cool deep voice of the games, where is the dangerous look and feel of 47..

girl - I've never seen such an uncongenial, unappealing actress - probably she's the girlfriend of the (poor) producer.. - awful audi - well as mentioned in other reviews, this movie is an audi commercial - and because the movie is so bad, I'm not sure audi is too happy about it..

Overall - some shooting, some cgi, bad main characters, boring story - not recommended - 2/10 Hint for the producers - before doing such a movie, play the games - get some staff from IO to work with you on the movie - get a better casting agency (the two main characters are plain awful - it was really hard to watch them - maybe the movie would have gotten better ratings if the cast would've been better).

Recommendation - Instead of watching this movie, play the games...
