That '90s Show (2023)
Don't Expect it to be the Original Show !
As a huge fan of That '70s Show, I was expecting to enjoy this show and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. I don't understand why other reviewers are expecting it to be the same as the original show. Of course the jokes will not feel the same. It's not just made for fans of the original, it's also made for teens of today. While not every joke lands and the laugh track may be played too often, it's still a really funny sequel to the original show. So many of the negative reviews complain about the new cast not having the same chemistry as the original cast. It's only been one season, give them a chance to grow as characters! While some of the new characters fit the roles of the original group of teens, they're not trying to replicate the characters exactly. The show pays respect to the old characters and new characters alike.
American Horror Story: Gaslight (2021)
Changed my mind
I am a huge AHS fan and while I've completely enjoyed this season so far, nothing blew me away like Roanoke, Asylum, or 1984. I had no complaints (maybe other than me being upset that the pale people are seemingly not sea creatures like the trailers alluded to, but that could easily change next episode) But oh my god this episode was amazing !! Lily Rabe's performance was phenomenal, as well as Sarah's ! I cannot wait for the part 1 finale next week.
American Horror Stories: The Naughty List (2021)
People need to reevaluate this episode
You not liking TikTok is not an excuse to hate this episode. The main complaint I see about this episode is that they hate TikTokers and that they don't act well. But if you see how influencers can act (and real life events the inciting incident was based off of) and let go of the disdain you have for a social media app, this episode is much better than everyone is giving it credit for. It's purposefully satirizing influencer culture and how toxic it can get. I understand this episode isn't for everyone, but try and not criticize it just because the characters are stereotypical influencers.
Fear Street: 1994 (2021)
Really good Start!
I've never read the Fear Street series, so I can't compare this film to any of the books, but this was a good supernatural teen slasher movie. The acting is very well done, the kills are gruesome, there was character development, there was some good tension and atmosphere? What more could you ask for ? All of the people complaining how it's not entirely accurate to the 90s are just looking for too much to complain about. It's not Stranger Things. It's not really trying to throwback and honor the amazing sci-fi movies of the 80s. The setting being in 1994 is surely there to create some nostalgia, but as some people pointed out, it could also be set in current times as well, meaning it's not overtly trying to honor the time period as ST masterfully does,
Nancy Drew: The Purloined Keys (2021)
Oh my...
This episode was so amazing!! I don't want to spoil anything because everyone needs to go and watch this episode (as well as the entire series) but wow!! There were so many twists this episode and it's going to lead up to what looks like a super intense final 2 episodes!
Nancy Drew (2019)
Totally changed my mind!
I, as a Nancy Drew super fan for what has been 10 years now, was cautiously optimistic about the show. After the first episode, I was upset because the Nancy Drew I grew up with did not have any real supernatural elements in it. As well as Nancy not being friends with Bess or George. However, being a horror fan and also wanting to give it another chance, watched episode 2. As season 1 went on, I began to enjoy it more and more each week. As long as you can view this as a modern Nancy Drew and not the original Nancy Drew from the original book series or the PC games, it's not hard to forget the supernatural elements. But by season 2, WOW! Almost every single episode has been phenomenal !!
Nancy Drew: The Celestial Visitor (2021)
Good episode, but I have some concerns
I really enjoyed this episode overall, but please do not make Nancy Drew into a Sci-Fi show. I enjoyed the Tom Swift character and although I believe in the supernatural, I acknowledge that others don't believe in that sort of thing, so when I say this, obviously take it with a grain of salt. The added technology and legend around the meteor makes a fairly believable show into something that is totally futuristic and unrealistic. Other than the gadgets Tom had (that are no way as of now real functioning devices) that are so unrealistic, I really enjoyed the episode.
American Horror Story: Final Girl (2019)
Just Amazing!!
This was by far the happiest end an American Horror Story season has gotten and was also one of the better finales as well! This truly marks this season as one of the best in so many ways. The 80s slasher vibes came back in full force and this season also had really good comedy. The only negative is that Ramirez supposedly was stuck at Redwood since 1989, but showed up in Hotel in 2013 as a ghost. So I have no clue if season 10 will explain more of that or if it was just a mistake, which I doubt.
American Horror Story: Episode 100 (2019)
Really Great Episode, Just Not Up to Par with The Previous 5 Episodes
This is a really good episode and I love how the characters lived on after the 1984 massacre, but still not the biggest fan of the whole Satan twist since that's all last season was about.
American Horror Story: Red Dawn (2019)
Amazing episode as always!!!
I am a huge fan of slashers and even though I wanted just a normal Friday the 13th/ Sleepaway Camp type of season, this season is so great! Billie Lourd and Emma Roberts were beyond amazing tonight and I can't wait what happens next!
American Horror Story: True Killers (2019)
Another Great Episode!
AHS is getting really good again! I really enjoyed this episode and all of the kills. While I am for twists, I don't want too many crazy ones like the last season had, so I'm not too sure about the ending, but as long as this doesn't turn into Apocalypse Part 2 with Michael Langdon, I'm fine with it.
American Horror Story: Slashdance (2019)
This season keeps getting better and better!!!
I was a huge fan of episode 1 and wasn't so sure of episode 2 until I got a chance to rewatch, but after this episode, it immediately became one of the best episodes of the most recent 3 seasons!! I am not a huge fan of twists in this type of season, just because I'm a huge fan of slasher movies and I want this season to remain that and not turn into anything else and so far, all of the twists are very interesting and don't ruin the theme of the season. Also this episode might have the best kill so far even though it's borrowed from Friday the 13th Part 5.
American Horror Story: Camp Redwood (2019)
Great Opening to hopefully a Great Season!
I don't at all understand the hate this season is getting. Sure Sarah Paulson and Evan Peters are huge parts of why this show is so amazing, but seriously, it's not that big of a deal! They've been so invested in this show since 2011, they need a break!! Anyway, to the actual story, it legitimately feels like it could be a Friday the 13th-type slasher movie from 1984. The vibes and tone are completely appropriate for a mid-80s slasher film. This season is far different from shows like Scream Queens or Scream: The TV Series, as they try to be more funny and meta. This season is being treated as a pre-Scream horror, which is why it works so well. The campiness and stupidity of the characters is obvious, and in recent slasher shows and movies, that's not the case.
