Mothering Sunday (2021)
3 stars for the photography
The only good thing about this film is its photography. The rest is absolutely nothing. A useless story without any secret profound meaning. A complex editing and a beautiful photography are not enough to make a movie a good movie. It is the only movie I've seen that doesn't give me any kind of emotion, nor bad or good. Just watched it till the end without any feelings. Trivial dialogues, sometimes embarrassing and the pretension to give it an inexistent meaning on life. As said, a useless movie.
Kate (2021)
Boring boring boring
Nothing new under the sky. All is already seen. Poor characters. Poor script. It seems to watch an already seen movie. Bleah!
The Perfection (2018)
Oh my...
What a ridiculous movie. The idea of some kind of pervert musical-religious cult hidden in a perfect music academy could have been a good point where to start to make a good movie. It's a real shame how the writers thought about the way to reach the bond and the salvation of the two girls. And, for God sake, a global famous american cellist girl with a self-cutted hand in China and nobody knows anything about her???? Embassy? TV news? Really does she come to the academy a snowy night from China? How? And, for the hell, how can she drive a car without a hand? Strange doesn't always mean smart, and in this particular case, means only ridiculous.
3 Days to Kill (2014)
How is it possible...
...to make a so stupid movie?
A poor attempt to put some irony leads to something soooooo ridiculous. The worst sci-fi B-movie is more realistic than this movie. Pathetic is the right adjective to describe it. Unrealistic as action movie. Unrealistic as family movie. the poorest movie i've ever seen... it made me sad for its poorness. I don't know if it is worst to waste time watching the movie of writing something more about it.
Ava (2020)
Really?
Is it possible to waste money doing movies like this? Despite it is always the same stories, the same backgrounds, the same epilogues, the same events... there isn't neither the effort to introduce something new or to develop the conflicts of the protagonist to create a deep empathy with her. There a lot of triviality in this movie, very superficial scratches of the characters that make impossible for the viewer to feel anything watching this. Perhaps the worst thing to me is the attempt to give some profound meaning to Ava doubts on her killings, talking with her subjects to understand why they have to die, and then she completely forget these doubts and kill a lot of people without any problems. All the ones of the military police for examples, men that are only working for a general, with their families at home. The pointless shooting at the game room another. It seems that this movie is for ignorant spectators: give them a bit of "something that seems profound", a bit of "pure stupid action with deaths and guns and punches", a bit of family problems, add also a bit of a social and psychological problem like the alcoholism, mix all together even without a real logic and the people will love the movie. Well, I'm sorry but I didn't love the movie and it made me angry about its nothingness.
Aftermath (2017)
Some good, some bad
I liked the emotional part of the film and the actors interpretations. The writers/director choose to follow the depressing and sad feelings people response on such an incident is a personal path and it is realistic and good enough to accomplish with it. But... I very didn't like the bending of the events to totally help this emotional topic. The story is quite unrealistic and it is evident that it works in background only to help the main feelings aspect. How is it possible that everyone point on a single person about the incident? Moreover the least guilty one in all the events that lead to the incident. The real guilty was the one who leaves the control tower to his colleague alone. Another guilty is the airport management who allows a telephone maintenance during operations without any safety control on the event. How is it possible that a doctor gives to one of her patient the name and the address of another patient without asking herself about the risk of a revenge? How is it possible that after the murder the doctor was not involved about her unprofessional and clearly misconduct? This is another way to reduce the quality of a movie leading to a mediocre satisfaction of viewing it. I think it isn't the correct way to totally misuse the story facts just to concentrate only on the feelings. It's a shame because a movie like this could have been better.
Horse Girl (2020)
Really???
Are there people claiming that this movie is a good movie? A jumble of sudden oddities by an adult woman??? Personally I think this is the worst and disrespectful way to deal with a serious topic. An apparently normal woman that suddenly turns in a total a complete state of madness with no explanations about previous signs or reasons or trauma, just a hint on a possible genetic inheritance . It seemed to me very pretentious resulting at last in a very poor, weak and trivial representation. It is only an exagerated assembly of exagerated and stereotyped behaviors.
The Circle (2017)
This is an example of...
...how poor and trivial a movie can be. It isn't enough to have a message behind a story to make it a good story. Every person with a little bit of brain can understand, just in the very first minutes, what is the message and what is the wrong part of it. I can do it by myself: "hey guys, don't give away all your privacy to big companies!". This doesn't make me the best deep thinker on the planet about the profound, complicated problems involved in such a difficult social topic. This movie is very poor on anything. Poor screnplay, poor acting, superficial examination and treatment of the privacy problem, unrealistic behavior of the characters without any reasons for the ways they act. So... a very important subject with heavy future implications treated in the worst, trivial and irritating way.
CSI: Crime Scene Investigation (2000)
I'm not able to see any episode...
I can't understand how a serie like CSI (I'm talking about any CSI serie in any world city) could have a so high rate. It is the most unrealistic, trivial, bad acted serie I've ever seen. I start to watch an episode but just after few minutes my anger grows looking how pathetic and trivial is the plot of every single episode. The serie seems to be written by a teenager. All is so much divided in good and bad, white and black with these poor actors interpreting unrealistc and inexistent persons. Then, I can't also accept how the hard, sometimes impossible, work of a real scientific crime unit can be outraged with the stupidity and the triviality of the easiness of the cases resolution. There's more sci-fi in CSI than in the worst B serie sci-fi movie.
Series like this should be forbidden.
