Don't F**k with Cats: Hunting an Internet Killer (2019)
Nice... but...
I liked this documentary a lot, but it is obvious that there was another person involved in a python video killing...
Maybe, the protagonist was in fact incited or even hypnotized into doing what he did.
As a Information security expert, I've encountered numerous situations where the victims did unspeakable things when they were incited to do so by the manipulators they encountered on the Internet.
As a practicing hypnotist, I can assure you that a person under deep hypnosis will do everything the hypnotist wants them to. Even if it's completely different from the victims believes or ethics.
(Not that I'm defending him. Just saying.)
One Piece (2023)
It's not an original anime, but...
I'm not going to write a review, nor comment on is it better or worse then the original, although my rating speaks enough about how i feel about this series.
Few things however are worth mentioning.
Cast - Just brilliant. The energy of each character is so well portraited, that I can't single out anyone.
Attention to detail - I had to watch the show several times to notice all the details the crew brilliantly incorporated into the series.
Music - It feels like watching a Movie! Sonya Belousova and Giona Ostinelli did an amazing job. I especially liked how they incorporated an original series theme to the finale of Season 1. A true masterpiece.
Elvis (2022)
A Forrest Gump spinoff
I was not sure If I would give this movie one or two stars, but I gave it two just because of Austin's performance. Hi kind of pulled it off, even though he looks nothing like Elvis, and the energy of The King was not there.
Movie was just way too painful for me to watch. It's historically inaccurate, boring, no twists, no suspense (just like Forrest bleeding Gump), and it's way too long. Two hours and 39 bloody minutes. I left at about 3/4 of a movie, as I concluded it was just not worth my time.
Buz's direction was utterly unimaginative. He borrowed a lot from several movies (Forrest Gump obviously), but mostly, and predominantly from Slumdog Millionaire.
How in the world did he think that he can compare Jamal Malik (Slumdog Millionaire's protagonist) with Elvis???
Tom Hanks's performance was disastrous. As in his other movies, he overacted every single scene, but this one takes the cake. He was just ridiculous.
In the beginning of the movie the Tom's character sad: "And yet, there are some who'd make me out to be the villain of this here story."
Yes Tom. You made yourself a villain by your colossally poor acting. (Not that it ruined otherwise poor movie much.)
South Park: Stunning and Brave (2015)
Shockingly bad season start
Matt and Trey needed almost a year to come up with this anticipated episode, but unfortunately it is by far the worst one ever! In this episode a group of characters are introduced that want to change South Park to make it politically correct, and protagonists of the show after short period of disagreement all agree with them.
I'm not wasting much time on this review, because this episode is just not worth it, and in my opinion puts a large smear to 20 years of work on this show. I still hope that the next episode will give this shockingly bad season start some meaning. Otherwise we have to come to terms that the authors after 18 seasons are washed out, and not able to produce entertainment that was expected from South Park series any more.
On the other hand, I give 9 to CG and audio production. So much better then the previous ones. Cartmans injuries CG and PC's microphone speech audio really gave me goosebumps. If it was in 3D it would definitely be 10/10. Unfortunately it's not Avatar so even that would not help the apparent lack of originality.
Oh... as for spoilers, Eric Cartman turns "cissy", gets beaten up, and not only that he does not retaliate, he agrees with his tormentors.
