Missing: Geudeuli Itseodda (2020)
I'm hoping for many more seasons!!!
Phenomenal series!!! If you're a fan of the supernatural you'll have to watch this. The show is an emotional roller-coaster as you come to know the individual "dead" characters. While you will hope for their killers to be caught and their bodies to be found, you will feel heart broken when it happens. I wasn't sure where they would go for Season 2, after the way Season 1 ended, but they pulled it off. It turned out just as good as season 1. If anything, Season 2 was probably even a little bit more mysterious but no less enjoyable. In addition to a great story, the show is filmed beautifully and has gorgeous nature shots and scenery. I am hoping for many more.
Samchongsa (2014)
Fun Show, had me wishing for more episodes
I thoroughly enjoyed this series. I liked the plot as well as the characters and watched the whole thing in a matter of 2 days. I wish Kim Myung Soo would have played a stronger character, bit Lee Jin Wook didn't disappoint. Apparently there were once plans for additional seasons, but that never happened. Too bad. 9/10.
Set in the Joseon Dynasty period (during the confusion of justification and the period of espionage and transition from ming to ping), when the public desire for social reform was at a high.
The three-arc historical action-romance drama, in which warriors and spies step back and forth along borders, follows Crown Prince So Hyeon, his two bodyguards, Heo Seung Po and An Min Seo, as well as Park Dal Hyang, a yangban come warrior who has everything going for him, including personality and looks, even though he comes from a poor family. Dal Hyang is also involved in a love triangle between Yoon Seo, the Crown Princess, and Crown Prince So Hyeon. Meanwhile, Jo Mi Ryeong is Prince So Hyeon's first love, who later becomes the prince's enemy and decides to take revenge.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness (2022)
Very underwhelming
Definitely not my favorite Marvel movie out of the bunch. Definitely not even close to being on of my favorite superhero movies period. The film had way to many slow pace stretches that caused some of the people in my group even fall asleep. Additionally, the movie felt like it had an overwhelming amount of sfx where they felt unnecessary. Finally, many of us simply didn't like a beloved character becoming the "bad guy".
Satomi hakken-den (1983)
Good story, too much 80's influence
This is not a bad movie by any means. It's a good story and the acting isn't as bad as some people indicate. The movie does suffer from a big 80's "new wave" influence and the English dub is horrible. I gave up on that version after 10 minutes. However, watching the remastered HD 16x9 version in Japanese with English subs made this actually an enjoyable movie.
Apocalypse: La 2ème guerre mondiale (2009)
Should be mandatory in school
Phenomenal series just like it's WW I sister series from the same producers. Both should be mandatory curriculum in every High School. My only (minor) complaint is Martin Sheen's narration. He butchers just about every word that's not in English and that makes it sometimes a bit rough to listen to.
Walker (2021)
Like the original without the action
I love the original "Walker Texas Ranger" TV show, so I really wanted this to be good! While the show itself isn't bad, it leaves out everything of the original that made it a hit. Walker still solves cases and there is a moral, feel good story, but the @$$ kicking action is gone. If the main character was called "Turner", nobody would have tuned in to give it a chance I guess, so I'll chuck this up to using name recognition to bait the audience. Sorry, not for me.
