The Perfection (2018)
Hands down (pun intended) the worst movie I ever saw
As a classical musician, it is really hard to watch movies which deal with classical musicians. Most of the time, the imitations of conducting or playing an instrument are pretty horrible. Fair enough, it is really hard to do that well. But this movie is another league. The actors, and I love Allison Brie very much, didn't even show any emotion on their faces while playing, which is something you should certainly be able to do as an actor.
But worse than that was the plot of this total random plot twist roller-coaster. I liked the atesthetic, the elegant buildings, the light, the Chinese surroundings. But the story was so incredibly dumb, the actors were ridiculous, the dialogues pretty cringy (lots of cussing in a desperete attempt to sound cool?) and the representation of music was out of this world stupid. I am not even going to waste more words on this.
You better spare your time and watch something else.
Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (2015)
Enjoyable music, shallow plot
I watched the first six episodes of "Crazy ex-girlfriend" after I read a recommendation on Lena Dunham's twitter account. Every introduced character triggered new doubts in me: all of them seem to be, and I am very sorry to say so, quite old-looking and hard to relate to. But the music scenes make the choose of actors understandable. They are really original - the dancing is hilarious and the vocal performances are highly professional and enjoyable. But, then again, the plot is really hard to take because it is so shallow and predictable, the behaviour of the female protagonist is so idiotic that it was impossible for me to keep on watching the show. I would buy the soundtrack, but nothing can force me into seeing another episode of crazy ex-girlfriend.
Man Seeking Woman (2015)
This is my favorite show
I have watched the first season three times, and every minute was worth spending! The actors are amazing, I really love the faces of every on of them, the ideas are very funny and the way of presenting the oldest problem of life is so refreshing (as I heard many people say about the show before me). I recommend "Man seeking Woman" especially to people going through a break-up. This series understands you like only a very good friend does. Especially the last episode of the first season makes everything kind of okay. Another thing worth mentioning is the awesome intro with a soundtrack by Photay, which makes me dance every time I hear it. Thumbs up! Can't wait for season two!
