One Eyed Girl (2013)
Deep and disturbing
I'm shocked at the negative reviews. I found this movie to be really powerful. Yes it's slow at first, but it's a beautiful story of self realization and triumph over internal suffering. The ending was a surprise and made the main character's transformation even more deep and real.
No Way Out (1987)
Do NOT recommend
My husband and I both agree that this movie sucked. The acting was terrible. The plot we've seen in 3 different movies. The only reason we watched the whole thing is because we were bored and it's such a pain in the butt to find something else. Don't waste your time.
Panopticon (2015)
I thought it was beautiful
I wasn't sure what to expect based on the trailer. I thought it might be some no plot, art house, silent film, but it's not at all. Alex, the main character is weird, beautiful, and surprisingly charming. He's so sure of himself and unsure of himself at the same time. He has so many dualities and is such an interesting and different person that I want to know everything about him. I thought the part was beautifully acted as well.
Yes the movie's slow, but I like that and it held my attention and drew me in to the end. The movie could go in so many different directions, it was unpredictable and could even be considered a thriller (for patient people of course).
I will be remembering this movie and am very glad I had a chance to watch it. I hope you enjoy it too.
