The Waltons: The Captive (1978)
Corabeth
The addition of Corabeth Godsey to the cast of The Waltons was a major mistake. She was useful for some occasional humor but any episode that took her seriously made me want to gag. I can only assume that the writer of this episode had a relative who was the same kind of pretentious phony as Corabeth and this was his or her way of expressing their disgust with the person. Ronnie clair edwards was a fine actress, otherwise she would not have been able to portray this deeply flawed person as well as she did, but as a viewer who simply wanted entertainment, the character was so aggravating that it was painful to watch.
King Kong (1976)
Tremendous plot hole
I saw the original version when i was a teenager, and I was surprised that they never explained how they got a 40 foot ape who probably weighed several tons, not to mention being unconcious, off the island and into the ship. I thought the whole thing was rather enchanting until that major plot hole kind of blew my enchantment out of the water. When my son saw this version as a teenager and was quite impressed with it. I made the mistake of pointing this out to him. It totally crushed him. From that point on, he did continue to watch it once in a while, but unfortunately the magic was gone! I hope any more remakes will address this plot hole.
Law & Order: Organized Crime: Nemesis (2022)
I give up....
Starting with the next episode (jan 13th), I will be recording both episodes of l&O Svu and L&O Organized crime and then spend a few minutes later fast-forwarding through it and watching only the scenes which involve benson and stabler and their respective families. The rest of it is a waste of my time.
The Waltons: The Pearls (1981)
Yecch
I didn't think ronnie claire edwards could possibly be more obnoxious (either the actress or her roles) but I was wrong.
Law & Order: Organized Crime: Everybody Takes a Beating Sometime (2021)
Unnecessary visual
I really could have done without the visual of Richard Wheatley getting a hummer from his wife. Totally unnecessary and frankly, disgusting.
Chad (2021)
I just figured it out...
The character "chad" looked oddly familiar to me, and it hit me just now.....he looks like one of Paul Winchell's ventriloquist dummies. Jerry Mahoney, I think. It's the eyebrows.
