The Beekeeper (2024)
Shabby and disappointing
What a let down! The action scenes are great, but it's everything in between them that lacks quality and professionalism. I'm sure there are similarly bad or worse Statham b-flicks out there, but this one was a doozy.
Agent Parker (Emmy Raver-Lampman) - comes across as an inexperienced actress who fails to make the audience care about her character. The writing (Kurt Wimmer) may be to blame also, but I was cringing all over the place.
Gasoline fire to destroy an IT operation? Really? Rolling my frickin eyes over here, yo. This was one of several moments where the writer and director demanded that I suspend my disbelief at the illogicality and stupidity of this story.
Just save yourself from the cringe and accordant groans and skip this. Go watch some bees instead.

Ruined unnatural dialogue
So grave is the subject matter, and so infuriating the execution, I am forced to lament the exceedingly poor choices made by the director and the scriptwriter of this otherwise epic production.
Unbearably cringe-worthy and trite dialogue is the mainstay of this film.
Given the gravity of the historical subject and the truly visceral and real experience that should accompany any review thereof, I am very saddened by the pathetic treatment of the narrative evinced by the blithe, uninspiring and predictable dialogue. For goodness sake! If you're going to go to the expense and hard work of such a production, at least employ an exemplary writer and director!
