Monster (2003)

Decent but Historically Inaccurate

I enjoyed the story that this movie had to offer, but it was not even close to the true events behind Aileen Wuornos. It's very romanticized, which makes a beautiful and tragic story, but if you're looking for the real history behind the infamous serial killer prostitute, I'd recommend a documentary.

This movie has such sights to show you... I threw this DVD in expecting a traditional '80s slasher. Little did I know how incredibly original and masterfully made this movie is.

Not as bad as I initially thought

When the beginning of this movie started in OUTER SPACE, I was thinking this movie was doomed from the start. However, I was pleasantly surprised that the rest of the story wasn't too bad. Between Jason X and this, I think it's safe to say that '80s horror does NOT belong in sci-fi. But as a whole, I'd say the movie could've been much much worse.
