Reacher (2022– )
10/10
Loved the film adaption but...

This show takes the cake.

Alan and the cast did a phenomenal job.

The action was brutal, great fight scenes, and though coming off as a brooding giant, what surprised me most was Reacher's intellect. Someone in the trailers commented that Reacher was a man with the muscles of The Hulk and an intellectual with a mind like Sherlock Holmes. Say no more. I have never read the books and those who have say this show got it right and I can say this, that's not what I got from Cruise's version. Both movies were fun but this was a different ride.

I binged watched it in a couple days and now I'm just here like "Bring on season 2!!!!

10 Truths About Love (2022 TV Movie)
8/10
It checked all the boxes.
18 December 2022
I admit the first quarter of the movie almost turned me off to it because not only did I find out it's a tubi original (all I could think of is cheesy, Hallmark things) but also they played her character like the smart but clueless type... She is that, but not the "stuck in her ways" trope, Check 1 for not being the tireless gag we always get. They learned along the way. Two: They didn't make them clash for comedic value. (The Ugly Truth) Things naturally progressed and each party recognized and didn't shy away. Three: The conflict wasn't contrived forcing both parties revert to their older traits and ideals, they recognized the misunderstanding and though tempted to not, braved the storm anyway. Hope this had no spoilers because we all know how these end but I'll say this, it was no early 20's drama piece of ego but maturing, figuring out of things we all resemble coming out of the latter. Extra point for the soundtrack.

Smallville: Arrow (2006)
Season 6, Episode 4

Not Arrow?
4 June 2021
This is less a review and more a lesson. This episode marked the first appearance of The Green Arrow. I see someone disagrees with how he is portrayed... And they are sadly misguided. Justin Hartley did a stellar job in this and many episodes to come. So much so that 6 years later when they were branding the "Arrow" you all are familiar with now, there was almost an uproar from me and other fans alike that Hartley would not reprise the role.

Not to discredit Amell's version (Which I grew to love.) I'm just saying that without this Green Arrow, which widely built the popularity of the character, there would be no "Arrow" with this being the foundation that the show we now know and love was built upon.

Retelling of stories take creative leaps. That's like watching Superman II and screaming "That's not how he met Zod, Zod possessed Lex!" Sounds foolish doesn't it?

Psych: Cog Blocked (2014)

Ok case. I stayed for the guest star

You guys had it right. Kali Hawk slayed in that role. I was disappointed to see her character never returns, she seemed very suitable for Gus. All this talk about him being a "cog" and not having a girlfriend... I thought they were setting something up, this being the final season and all. Most hilarious scene, her stealing Shawn's "bit" and introducing Gus as "Denzel Diggs Underwood Morris Chestnut Washington." Good fun.

Californication: The Last Waltz (2007)
Season 1, Episode 12
Kinda messed up...
4 August 2020
I loved the direction the whole episode took up until the ending. When the show first aired over a decade ago, my young mind absorbed every second of it. We all want to see it work out for our idols and yes, Hank was a big part of my late teens/early 20's though absolutely flawed. It's never been so clear as i look again. Hank deserves his happiness however down the line but losing it all is what inspires it and as soon as he shows a tiny but of remorse for, or ownership of his actions, it all falls in to place ever so neatly? That's not how life works. That's not even how Karen works... So out of character. Plenty opportunities to make things right beforehand or in a season to come and they ended it like that? Okay then...

Who cares???? The movie was nice. So the no named guy insulted your Biebs... Here comes every soft, offended, weirdo of today trying to make it seem like that was the end all to the movie. I give it a ten for balance to the rating scale til you morons get out of your feelings.

Single Parents: No. Wait. What? Hold on. (2020)

Finale?
2 July 2020
Admittedly, this show isn't one you rush to show all your friends but that's its thing. It's just great fun with lovable characters. I write this review because though the series wont be remembered by many years on, it deserves some love. I loved this episode and wished the cast and crew knew of its ending. I have a feeling they would have wrapped it up a lot better. Sad to see this one go but it's ABC so...
