Scrubs (2001–2010)

Scrubs is the family and coworkers that I wish I had...
1 July 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Scrubs for me is and are the people that I keep returning to for a laugh and to feel good. They are always there for me and every time I watch the series I catch something new and meaningful that I somehow missed the many other times that I have watched the t.v. Series.

The last two seasons weren't great but I think we tolerated them just to get our Scrubs fix and after all, it's hard to say goodbye to the people that you have come to know and love over the years. They were always there to depend on for a good laugh and most certainly some inspiration.

J. D.'s final goodbye speech is where it should have ended. Loved it! Was a real tear-jerker. Loved as he walked down the long hallway with all the people that he hand encountered over the years. ...for me, that was the real and true ending of Scrubs...

I still remember the day that Sam Lloyd aka Ted/Theodore Buckland Esq. Died. I knew that he had been sick for a long time. He popped into my head for some reason. It had just started raining and somehow I knew that he had passed that day. I don't know if it was coincidence or not. I do know that he was a good man that entertained many and not just on screen but vocally. He was actually quite and entertaining and surprisingly good singer. We all miss you Teddy!

The Love Boat (1977–1987)
10/10
Simple, good hearted, implied risqué humor all mixed in with good hearted lessons and camaraderie.

The Love Boat. You hear it and you instantly know what it is mostly about. It still stands the test of time. Admittedly a little cheesy at times but still always a bit of fun, some lessons mixed in along with a few nuts and this is a recipe for success in regards to this show.

Never left with a negative feeling at the end of each episode. If only life were like that and all of our problems were solved as easily after thirty minutes or an hour. :)

Saint Frances (2019)
1/10
Saint Period, which is mostly what this movie is about...
4 January 2021
Warning: Spoilers
Pure millennial progressive liberal leftist drivel. The movie is more about Bridget the irresponsible, selfish, narcissistic nanny and very little of the little girl Franny who while adorable thus far has done nothing but be a little one who gives out absolutely no sage advice which the title and description would imply. Franny is a somewhat typical manipulative child at times who finally offers some simplistic advice towards the very end of the movie which could and would have been dolled out by literally anyone. Quite the letdown. This movie promises a lot and delivers so very little...

The movie attempts to portray women as cerebral deep thinkers, who are suffering as slaves and brave freedom fighters against the patriarchy and phallocracy to which all I can see is self-victimization not to mention the portrayal of men as useful at times when needed simple-minded enemy coupled with a little snarky remark about white men in the very beginning of the movie. This movie even goes so far as to blame the pseudo boyfriend/lover for what a woman has to endure in regards to consequences from their post-coital bliss even though she was a willing participant in intimate relations. No culpability or responsibility on the part of Bridget. A total sham of a movie.

If you weren't already familiar with the biomechanics of the female body well you certainly will be by halfway through the movie. This movie reminds me of all the things lampooned in the movie PCU starring Jeremy Piven. This PC wannabe movie was neither fun nor inspirational and reveals itself to be the sexist movie that it is and pretends to hate and not be.

I found very little if anything redeemable about this movie aside from casting light on postpartum depression which truly does need more attention and understanding. The very misleading title, description, and preview of this movie looked and sounded promising but ended up not meeting expectations. I would imagine that if you live in the liberal Northeast or California, Washington state, and their ilk then you will likely love everything about this movie because it breaks from and shuns traditional norms and values. The movie itself shows its bias and that's fine but you cannot expect everyone to eat what this movie dishes out and say "yum!" when it's more "yuck".

Please let children be children and not let them in on the complexities of adulthood to which they cannot relate nor possibly fathom until it personally affects them. Let children enjoy life a little and maintain their innocence as long as they can before being thrust into the myriad of adult life problems...

REVENGE OF THE NERDS meets KARATE KID
12 May 2018
Surprisingly a really great show! Your preconcieved notions of what this is going to be about is entirely wrong. I would know. It's a continuation years later after-the-fact when real life settles in decades later as adults. The role reversal might surprise many of you!

This is a total reversal...of sorts. Roles reversed and it is actually not that Johnny and Daniel are against one another. Well they are but they are unknowingly on the same side but just do not know it or at least not yet.

I am surprised that a major network or at least Netflix has not picked up on this one yet! Hello, McFly aka Netflix! Wake up! You are missing out on a real gem here.

Forrest Gump

A simple man in search of what most of us want in life. Validation as a person just as he is and not as others would have him. Understanding and peace within himself and life. To Love one woman and have her love him in return.

Simply a great movie to watch not matter what year it may be. It's turned into a timeless classic. Hard to put into words just how great this movie really is to watch!
