It's sooooo bad.
27 January 2020
The only "funny" thing in this show is how bad it actually is. Creators clearly hate original ThunderCats (and 2011 reboot as well). Actuially "hatred" is all they have. They hat the show, they despise men and boys, they hate good storytelling, funny jokes... It's amazing how many things can go wrong with a single reboot - like for example, the artstyle and animation is just bad, but it's best element of whole show. Only "redeeming" factor. If everything else would carry the same lackluster lvl the show would be "just bad". But it's absymal. It's repulsive. I love old ThunderCats and I felt violated by this montROARsity. My friend never saw a single ThunderCats episode and felt assaulted, personally offended by it lack of quality and any value. So - if You are fan of originals - NO! Don't watch it. if You are fan of 2011 reboot - NO! Don't watch it. if You never saw ThunderCats - NO! Please don't. Don't do it to yourself. You deserve better. if You have kids - god please NO! Don't torture them like this. Don't feed them with this absymal low quality of motion crap.

Starts ot great, comes down harder than GoT 8
4 December 2019
First 2 seasons are amazing and setting bar really high. The rest... Well - it's a 8 season show, done in 2 years. Quality of animation is ok, but storytelling after let's say - half of third season is non-existence. If You watch it for good story - You will be dissapointed. Seasons 5-6-7 and ESCPECIALY 8 are so dumb it should be a crime. If You watch it fo characters - You are in for hell of a painfull ride. Not that their character arcs are painfull. More like - writers mismanage them badly and throw them away from roster whenever they have no idea what to do with them aaaaand (especially later) introduce new, boring and unnecessary toons. AND if You are watching for representation - You will be mad as hell. Whole "diversity" deal was done sloppy, unnatural and is kind a offensive. It's just a PR stunt, a move to rally up fandom, to spice a bit the hype... but when it comes to it in the show, it's butchered, it's forced, it doesn't deliver. It's a poor "representation" for a sake of representation with total disregard to both characters and diversity. Even worse - it's selling poor product hoping that people are stupid enough to take it, if it's branded "DIVERSITY". LBGTQ+ and PoC should be mad as hell for this.

The InBESTigators (2019–2020)

Surprisingly good
8 September 2019
Had to babysit with my friends kiddo for a while and during bed-time this show came to rescue. Kid really dig it (only problem that he didn't want to sleep, but star detective agency instead! XD) and it was pleasing to watch even for an adult. So much nice to watch, that I've finished whole season by myself in few following days, when I was going to bed myself.

It was almost great.

First of - I have no problem with casting (seems to be main concern for people). White guy to play white guy from the comix? Seems fair. Cast, acting etc. is good, what is not - it's plot. This series mainly contain people talking and talking, then calling to talk some more by the phone. There are some fights (even some good ones) but mostly thrown in to the story without bigger sense or reason. Characters constantly changing sides and backstabbing each other - which isn't bad thing if it doesn't go agianst their character (look Captain Jack Sparrow XD)... but it does. Which undermine whole plot and make both motivations and logic behind characters really stupid. There's no logic even behind shown powers - once it's useless to use machineguns against super awesome martial artist (kung fu is scissors, guns are paper), and few minutes later one whimsy gun is the gamechanger and the ultimate weapon against kung fu and the power of dragon fist (paper beat scissors). At the end - the characters are likleble. Danny is awesome, Colleen is cute and badass at the same time, Meachum family (except Dad maybe) is great in their own way. I think everyone on set did great job with the series, but what fail is inner logic of the show and the plot was overdone... what takes us to Scott Buck - the creator. Same as with Inhumans (or that one bloody Dexter season), he had some ideas he mistook for "vision" and concepts instead of solid story. At the end - throwing money on the product to "make it work" can't beat stable fundations to build upon and that's what Scott Buck usualy can't provide to the show. With better guidence it would be AWESOME series. Now it's only okeyish, sometimes dragging tooooooo long with unnecessary dialogue, sometimes hurting you with stupidity, but still - enjoyable because of good cast and decent acting.

Force is gone with this one.

What can I say without spoilers? This series is actively fighting for "Christmass Special" crowd. First things first - animation. It's really bad. Both the graphic design and the actual animation looks like something made by untalented fan. If that was the case - I would apploud the effort. But it's Disney production and I can't really understand what drove them to make that atrocious graphic style choice. It's like mistaking simple stuff with simpleton - sounds right about familliar, but actually are oposites. I would say I'm guilty of watching some poor series with good graphics only because they please me esteticly. True - but I can watch awful animation if the plot is kicking, so how "Forces of Destiny" is doing in this department? Well... it's not. The stories are shamefully weak. Both protagonists and antagonists are poorly writen and developed which leads to unpleasent expirience. The writers are clearly pushing some agenda - and I wouldn't mind that much, if they would create entertaining show on the way. Well... they didn't. And I had pretty little idea why - they were so preoccupied with telling viewer what to think, to tell them actuall compeling story. So why a gave 3 stars? Well, the show have some redeeming qualities (hidden really deep), it can throw few interesting nodes into canon, and it can (barely) expand some known (and loved by me) characters. I would love to see this series rebooted and done right by some competent writers and animators that know what they are doing. My opinion? Give it a try, maybe Your kids will watch it and won't hold a grudge... but on the other hand - why risk it? Show them "Gravity Falls" or "Star vs. the Forces of Evil", or "Clone Wars", "Rebels"...
