Criminal Minds: Sick Day (2016)
Amazing Episode!!!!
I absolutely loved this episode "Sick Day." First of all just to point out I am a huge JJ fan since the beginning of Criminal Minds, although I love all the characters (the new characters aren't even that bad). The way the episode started was even good when the team was on the plane, the fact that Luke Alvez was concerned about JJ after the case has happened was emotional. The whole episode is based on the present of JJ talking out the painful case to her husband Will, and as they discuss the case, it shows flashbacks of the team working on the case. The episode was mainly centered on JJ and the struggles she had to face while on the job. Will was also a huge center and I love Will with Jennifer, they make the perfect couple when they're together. Will was extremely supportive towards his heartbroken, shaken wife. He coaxed her to let out her feelings and comforted her throughout the process. I specifically loved those scenes between them, the love and affection they had for one another was emotional. Of course this episode was more of a drama, but it was also mixed with some action. A.J. Cook and Josh Stewart deserve to be praised for their compassionate, emotional performance. For those viewers who didn't like this episode, I respect reading all opinions for this show of Criminal Minds and I will not hate on anyone. I just wanted to say what I thought about this episode and I highly recommend watching it for those of you who haven't seen it (hence the small spoilers I just spilled).
Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders (2016)
Criminal Minds Beyond Borders was Horrible!!!
I watched the season premiere of Criminal Minds Beyond Borders and it was an absolute disgrace! For starters, I am a die hard fan of the original Criminal Minds. I know everything about the show and especially the cast of the amazing characters that made it through 11 seasons! I never think that spin-offs are any good in any program, usually. But, just out of curiosity I decided to watch the premiere of Beyond Borders and it was cheesy and stupid. The profile of the unsub was terrible, the "expert profilers" didn't even go in depth about the unsub and they didn't analyze the psychological aspects of the unsub's mind like at all. It was pretty pathetic and it showed that the profilers were unprofessional. On the original Criminal Minds, the profiles of the criminal from Hotch's team are legit and actually makes sense. Also, just to point out the technical analyst on Beyond Borders, I felt like he was trying to act just like Penelope Garcia on the original Criminal Minds and it drove me crazy! Nobody will be as good as Garcia, the humor that the technical analyst on Beyond Borders put out wasn't even funny, Garcia on the other hand is hilarious. The plot to me didn't make much sense, I felt like the process and procedures to catch the unsub was too rushed. I don't think that this show will last that long, if it does then that would be surprising. Like I said before, spin-offs are usually not as good as the original series.
