Saints Row IV (2013 Video Game)
5/10
Good, but doesn't belong in Saints Row
21 February 2017
Saints Row is one of my favorite video game series, and it has been for years now. It's fun, violent, hilarious, inappropriate, and has a pretty decent story behind it.

However, I wasn't a fan of the fourth installment. It changed the story, so much. Your character used to be a bad-ass gangster of the 3rd Street Saints, fighting other gangs, selling drugs and doing awesome, ghetto things, but it shifted so much. Now you're president of the US, and you're fighting Aliens in a simulation world where you have super powers? It's a fun, well made game, but it doesn't belong in the Saints Row Franchise and left people anticipating another sequel just disappointed.

Lived Up To Expectations
21 February 2017
This was a great, enjoyable film, that lived up to what it said it'd be. It did what a good family movie should, and it had enjoyable humor for everyone and it wasn't too "goofy" or "silly". All the actors in the film did a great job voicing some of DC's favorite characters. I was personally surprised to see that Zach Galifianakis did an impressive job as the joker. He caught the same wit, likability, and overall character very well. Although, he wasn't as good as Mark Hamill, Heath Ledger, or Jack Nicholson, he still redeemed the character after Jared Leto's cringey performance in Suicide Squad. This film is spectacularly animated, somewhat well written, funny, and an enjoyable film overall.

There are a few issues that I saw with this movie,. It had a really cliché and predictable climax. Just from the trailer, you could recognize the first half of the movie, and just predict the rest. The writing of it wasn't so strong, but I still enjoyed the movie.

Original, funny, and well shot

Warning: Spoilers
This is definitely my favorite movie of 2016. 2016 has been a bunch of unoriginal remakes, reboots, sequels and more. While there were SOME good movies released, such as Deadpool, Rogue One and more, Swiss Army Man is for sure on the list of great 2016 films. This movie just screams originality, with a story that you cannot compare to others. It makes things that seemed disgusting (farts, erections, etc.) beautiful things. The cinematography is magnificent, with dark, blue, and beautiful scenery. Also, the soundtrack of the film is impressive, not using any instruments, and having the actors of the film sing it. This film could easily be classified as a musical. Although, this doesn't mean that there wasn't anything wrong with the film. There were some issues with it, when it kind of "ran out of funny things" it continued to turn into something else, like a buddy drama. There's a lot more things to be said about this film, but I stuck with the basics. This movie earns a 7/10 for me.
