The Good Mothers (2023)
Scary reality for three women born into mob families
Outstanding and frightful depiction of the violent life in terror three women are forced to live. All three are born into the Italian mob and pay a heavy price to break free. Worthy of binge-watching. The tyranny these women live under is worse than what I could imagine. It's too close to reality and the true endurance of the life of women in the mob. They all know the future awaiting their sons and daughters and can do nothing to stop the inevitable. I have seen plenty of tv-series and movies based on the Italian mob. This series is, although dramatised, blunt and coarse. You cannot shy away from their life in terror.
A Million Little Things (2018)
Charming, real and engaging
Never bothered about this series. Big mistake. It's a complete feel-good experience with warmth, sorrows, complicated relationships but also love and break-ups. The actors are magnificent as is the storyline. After the first season I am already hooked, finding it hard not to watch the next episode, and then the next. It's a lot like "This is us", although this is about a group of tightly knit friends and their respective families. It's about the struggles of life, the wins and the losses, how we work it out with support from those that care for us. As a cherry on top there's also a bit of mystery and hidden secrets. I highly recommend it.
Craith (2018)
Season 3 is such a let down
While season 1 was excellent and season 2 so-so, season 3 is a sad mess. It's obvious from the first episode who the killer is. The rest is just sad. Good actors but the storyline is just slow and everyone is sad. If there is a season 4 make it a better one that this. Much better please.
Jurassic World Dominion (2022)
Embarrasingly bad
Having enjoyed the previous Jurassic Park movies we had high hopes for this one but - we left 30 minutes into the movie. Bad acting, sloppy one liners, disastrously bad effects. Not worth the trip to the cinema.
