Kurak Günler (2022)
The most successful Turkish movie of recent years
In a barren time when Turkish cinema was caught between Nuri Bilge Ceylan-style situational films and unsuccessful comedy films, Emin Alper's work was quite special. He not only delivers the message he wants to convey in a striking and serious style, but also preserves the element of tension until the last moment. In addition to the harmony of the geography of the story with the color palette, the camera angles are generally successful. The leading actors, Selahattin Pasali and Ekin Koc did a pretty good job. The tension between them disturbing certain groups in Turkey also reveals the topicality of the film's content.
I enjoyed watching it very much and I found it quite successful artistically. Hope to see more movies of this quality in Turkish cinema.
Horsemen (2009)
I'm sorry, but it's almost copied from the Se7en.
First of all, this article contains spoilers about David Fincher's Se7en.
Actually, I didn't want to give 1 point to this film but after watching the end of the movie, I decided to do it. The subject of the film is similar to Se7en. Just as Se7en tells the story of a murderer who commits a murder by referring to seven deadly sins, the film depicts a killer referring to the four horsemen of the apocalypse.
But Dennis Quaid's Breslin character occasionally mimics Mills and Somerset in Se7en. Kristin gives the impression that the character of John Doe in Se7en is adapted to a woman. Even the tense atmosphere of the film is reminiscent of Se7en.
And the death of a relative of the main character at the end of the film is another indication that the end of this film was taken from Se7en.
I'm sorry, but this movie is no more than a movie made by a person who was very impressed by Se7en.
Rocky III (1982)
It's a fun movie to watch.
In this film, Rocky has many problems. The loss of his coach, the loss of his long-held title, makes him deeply shaken. These problems are expressed in the film very well. When we look at the players we see Sylvester Stallone in the role of Rocky, Talia Shire in the role of Adrian, Burt Young in the role of Paulie, Burgess Meredith in the role of Mickey, Carl Weathers in the role of Apollo, Mr.T in the role of Clubber Lang really did a very good job. Especially, Mr.T plays very well. It's a film that should be watched except for a few bugs to look at in general. The biggest mistake in the film is that in the first film of the Rocky series Mickey says 'I am 76 years old' but Micky seems to have died at the age of 76. It was a really big mistake. But overall it's a pretty good movie.
