Boring storyline and poorly written characters
28 March 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Any fraction of emotional investment i felt for the characters in the Dark Knight was quickly lost in this film. Just because I'm a fan of Batman in general doesn't mean I can write this film off as good in any means. While i appreciate the idea of the references they put in, it felt like cheap fan service for the sake of it opposed to anything i could actually enjoy. It felt like Mad Max met Transformers and in no way felt like it was a sequel to the Dark Knight. I was terribly bored and waited for the film to be over as it dragged on and on. While Bane was well casted and looked the part, it felt like his presence was lacking from the film- which is a deep contrast from the villain of the previous film. It felt like he was under utilized. Everyone knew that they wouldn't kill off batman half way through the film so a majority of the pit scenes felt drawn out and seemed to drag on. Worst film yet of the series.

I'm over the Rue storyline
7 February 2022
Warning: Spoilers
Give us something new or different. I understand an addict constantly falls into the same pattern most of the time. But there are so many different storylines to explore in this series with so many different interesting characters. Not only is rues storyline one of the less interesting storylines, but she's the least interesting character. We did not need another hour long Rue fest. Every scene was predictable and boring. Either give us something new or different with her story or write her off the show.

Their first mistake was screwing over Frank
16 December 2020
The reason the show quality declined so much is pretty obvious.. not only ridiculous writing/editing/budget cuts but Frank was the heart and soul behind this show

Usually I try not to be too harsh of a critic on Netflix because I typically just throw it on for background noise but this is the most pointless and non-entertaining film i've seen in years.

Super Distasteful
24 August 2019
Warning: Spoilers
Considering an innocent man was attacked, had a bomb strapped to his neck and was forced to rob a bank in 2003, this is VERY distasteful. His family suffered a great deal and his murders tried pinning the blame on him for YEARS to avoid the death penalty. All while people recorded him and cops pointed their guns at him as he begged for help, handcuffed in the middle of the street until the bomb went off, killing him.

I'm not even Pro-Choice and this was still trash
11 April 2019
Warning: Spoilers
So incredibly biased. If you are Pro-Life then you should actually hate this movie because It is so ridiculously biased and has so much misinformation on top of it. The idea of slandering Planned Parenthood is laughable. Do away with abortion is one thing but not all Planned Parenthood's even offer abortions, and the ones that do offer abortions only serve 10% of the women that come to them. Meaning that 90% of the women are coming there for affordable exams, general healthcare, birth control, HIV services, pregnancy testing, patient education, STD testings and medicine. All services that many of these women could not afford otherwise. So unless your in favor of free health care, then educate yourself and leave planned parenthood alone. Not to mention banning planned parenthood abortions is just going to lead women to taking more dangerous routes to kill their babies. I'm all for saving lives but attacking clinics like this is going to hurt the cause not help it.

No Stars

The bedside table was by far the best character. Even if the acting wasn't horrible, the story itself isn't scary. There wasn't one scene that delivered any element of fear. The roommate and the girlfriend were such poorly written/badly acted characters that i wanted to turn off the movie anytime they were on screen.

Worst One Yet
31 December 2018
I was bored the other night and remember seeing clips from Urban Legend in a Youtube video, and decided to watch the film. The first film wasn't THAT bad, and I appreciated the twists. The second film, Final Cut, was much worse. But as far as absolute garbage goes, Bloody Mary takes the cake. I have absolutely no Idea why they decided to take this franchise in a paranormal route while the rest were slashers, at least slightly clever with some of the twists and motives. This feels like a Final Destination type of film, not one full of urban legends. Even if you enjoyed the first film, avoid Bloody Mary, it's not worth it.

pointless, underwhelming

Warning: Spoilers
There's seriously no point to watching this film. Whether your a fan of the Halloween movies or not. There was no interesting plot. No suspense. Very dull. Every character was annoying and served no purpose to the story whatsoever. And not even in a way that they all got killed off. Like they seemed like they would be a big part of the film, than just disappeared for the second half. Honestly a waste of time and money, and a disgrace to the franchise.

The Nun (2018)

Better than I expected!! SPOILERS BELOW!
10 September 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I was honestly surprised. Now don't get me wrong, I LOVED Taissa Farmiga in American Horror Story (murder house.) Not only was she a great actress, but she did very well in a horror genre. Not every great actor can pull off a role in a horror film or series, but she can portray sadness and anger and fear in a a way that seems so natural in a horror setting. That being said, I still didn't have too high of hopes for the Nun. While I love the Conjuring 1 and especially 2, I felt that they were really reaching here trying to pump out another film as a part of a popular franchise. Now the beginning was slow for me and the story a bit off. It was a creepy castle. A demon. The usual for these types of films. They really didn't give you much backstory which is something I LOVED in the conjuring films. I really connected with the Warrens and was rooting for them. Bus of course, just like all of these films, it definitely had atmosphere! But what I really liked was the ending. Right after I got home from the movies, I looked up the scene where they discussed Maurice in the first conjuring movie and I can't believe I missed it! I really enjoyed how they wrapped it all in together! It made it worth the watch.

You Get Me (2017)

only worth a watch if you're VERY bored
25 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
Honestly, I don't hate this movie. I just don't really like it. First of all, I don't understand why more people aren't talking about the fact that Tyler was a dick? Like you're supposed to be rooting for this guy and I couldn't stand him. He wasn't a good boyfriend to Alissa and slept with the first girl he saw walking out of the party RIGHT after they had an argument, then LIED throughout the movie! Then, he was a complete asshole to Holly! Granted, she IS crazy, but set that aside for a second. He pretended to be interested in her to get laid, she was vulnerable because she just lost her dad and moved, and then when she told him she was "pregnant" he told her to stay away and pushed her onto the ground?? Like if she was actually pregnant, couldn't he have just forced her to loose the baby from the stress alone?? Anyway, none of the characters are likeable. The friends are all annoying, Holly is psycho, Tyler is a dick, and Allisa's okay I guess but kinda dumb. I didn't really care about any of the characters so I didn't care what happened to them. Bella thorne's acting wasn't completely terrible for once tho

Warning: Spoilers
This movie was fun and sweet which is a nice change from the movies I typically watch. It has heartwarming moments without tugging on the heartstrings too hard. It has some comedy, It has romance! It's a movie I would definitely sit down with my sisters and watch.

Entertaining
25 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
First things first, this show is fun. It's not life changing, and I don't find myself thinking about it days after I watched it. I didn't fall in love with the characters. But I did enjoy myself watching it. I feel like if you're looking for a fun show to binge watch, this could be the show for you. Now you the review is basically over so you can skip this next part if you want.....But I want to address the "fat shaming" accusations that are all over Twitter and Facebook right now. And all I have to say is IT AINT THAT SERIOUS. And this is coming from someone who use to be obese. Like I had to have surgery to remove all of my excess skin. Honestly, I related to Patty when she said that even though she was skinnier and she knew she was a healthy weight, it never seemed like it was enough and that she still wasn't happy like she thought she'd be. That's real emotions that people deal with when they have body dismorphia. It's just a show and while it touched on some relevant issues that resonate with its audience, it Is NOT a documentary and is even advertised as a "dark comedy." It's supposed to be outrageous and ridiculous. Netflix does almost all of its marketing online via social media, and so it's no surprise that they eventually caught on to trends on twitter such as "be careful who you call ugly in middle school," or "once my face clears up and I loose 15lbs it's over for you b**ches," and "the people who bullied me in high school are now in my DMs." You make it seem like it's such an empowering, funny revenge tactic but then you criticize it when someone decides to make a comedy about it. So just calm down, relax, and don't take everything so seriously. I get it, we'd all like to look like Debbie Ryan.

Not horrible, but definitely not great.
14 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
This movie was far better than the first "Unfriended," despite the fact the two films aren't related in anyway, other than the fact that the films are both shot from a computer and a group of friends get picked off one by one during a skype call. Now It's not as horrible as the first one because the premis doesn't seem as ridiculous..The dark web is a real place where there are sick people that are willing to pay to be able to watch innocent victims get tortured or murdered. It seems more realistic than a ghost stalking and harassing people via Facebook and Skype. However, this movie does still fall short. Frankly, It's quite boring. You really don't care about the characters, and they make stupid choices. I felt like I was just waiting to watch the next character die one by one because I knew that's all that was going to happen. It seemed like lazy writing overall..a group of kids get targeted by people on the deep web and get killed off just because. It's a fun movie to watch with friends at your apartment so you can laugh at all the stupid writing and cringe and the few violent scenes but I wouldn't waste your money on seeing it in theaters.
