Gentlemen Broncos (2009)
it's a mean, childish mockery of sci-fi, especially 'dune'.
1 of the only 21st century movies i like is 'napoleon dynamite'. This movie was made by the same director. So i thought it was going to be funny. It isn't. It's saturated with sarcasm. After 10 minutes, it was annoying. I would've guessed it was written by mean middle-school children. I like the novel 'dune' by frank herbert, and the movie. 'yeast lords' is a mockery of 'dune. Jared and jerusha hess aren't talented enough to make a movie like 'dune'. 'gentlemen broncos' ruined my opinion of them.
An example of the middle school "jokes" in the movie: a guy writes character names 'ainous' and 'anous'.
Rolling Vengeance (1987)
if you don't like the movie, i'll drive a monster truck through your house.
It wasn't made to be a good movie.
If you like revenge movies and monster trucks, it could be entertaining.
It's at youtube.
The characters are 1 dimensional.
- big joe & joey rosso: father & son truckers
- kathy, alison, kristin: joey's mom & sisters
- misty: joey's girlfriend.
- tiny: '50s greaser, owns a bar / used car lot.
- tiny's sons: hillbillies who cause problems for the rossos and misty.
Ned beatty is the best actor in the movie. I haven't seen the other actors, except lawrence dane.
I liked when the monster truck crushed cars and buildings. But i didn't like the killing. ~ 10 people are killed, including a woman & kids.
Cyborg Cop II (1994)
it's a rip-off of terminator 2.
It wasn't made for art. It was made to cash-in on terminator 2, also, robocop and other action movies from then.
I don't understand why some "directors" make movies, only for $. Some people say that crime syndicates launder $ by making movies. And that could explain why the "directors" don't care about art.
There isn't anything original or creative in the movie. It's a parasitic rip-off of better movies.
Again, people who make cash-grab movies aren't artists. Artists would be ashamed to do that.
Sam firstenberg, an israeli citizen, was "director". He made some '80s ninja movies that i liked, when i was a kid. They were cash-grabs, too, though.
