The Challenge: World Championship: Us Against the World (2023)
One Elimination
This was the most boring challenge episode of any season to date. There was no weekly challenge, only the elimination for the losers from the previous episode. The entire episode consists of only one elimination, and the rest of the episode is just conversations and the resulting drama. The drama that the episode concentrated on wasn't even that interesting. Was this really the most interesting footage they could find from this season? This episode is 40 minutes of light drama, and 5 minutes of a (frankly boring) elimination. Where is the challenge, the strategy, the gameplay, the physical feats?
Ticket to Paradise (2022)
We get it, they're bitter.
I could barely stand 30 minutes of Roberts and Clooney's characters' cliché bickering before giving up on this movie. Nothing that happened in the rest of the film could have made me root for these two characters to get back together. The parents are so obsessed with their greviances from 20 years ago that they're oblivious to the fact that they humiliate their daughter with their behavior. We get it, they're bitter and bring out the worst in each other. Cliché, childish, and cringey.
Billy Lourde's character is a welcome comic relief, but unsure if her character has a wider arc or purpose in the overall story or not.
Call Me Kat: Call Me the Bad Boy of Cheese (2022)
Almost Unwatchable
Is the show trying to tear down Kat's integrity, and everything the show has built so far? If so, this episode is doing a great job. It was shocking to have a "pulling pigtails on the playground" reference on this show in 2022, let alone all the other lines "Nick" says, without any appropriate outrage from other characters. This episode is so jarrinyly out of place, I can hardly believe it's the same show.
Bring the Funny (2019)
Garage Sale Version of Last Comic Standing
I laughed once, and it was out of discomfort. The judges' fake laughs and fake-deep feedback to the "comics" were super cringeworthy. There was not enough comedy to give feedback on, but the judges were complimenting their "style" and "delivery" and "writing". Even the audience members they cut to seemed scripted- with stilted dialogue and stiff laughter. The show's intro lasted way too long, and the background music was distracting and annoying. The entire first episode was a train wreck. I can't even call it a cheap knock-off of Last Comic Standing, it's more like a patched-together garage sale version. Overall, 0/0 stars. Spend your time watching something else.
