One of the best
19 April 2006
This is by far one of the best movies I have ever seen in my life. This movie draws you in; you get scarred for the characters and hope for the defeat of the villains. This is one of those rare moments where you forget that your watching a movie.

I really think that this was the best movie of 2005. Bruce Willis does a great job but the breakout artist is Monica Belluci. The fact that she is possibly the most beautiful woman alive doesn't hurt in attracting you to this film.

The first part of the movie is the character of Bruce Willis' dilemma of committing to duty or doing the right thing. We get to see him and Monica Belluci's struggle to trust and understand what it is they should do. The second part of the movie is a good 30 minute fighting scene that keeps you wondering which of the good guys will day. This is the best movie.

Amazing portrayal of something so awful
15 December 2005
I was amazed to hear that the actors in this movie were not payed for their acting. The film was so taboo that the film makers could not afford to pay the actors. This film is really a good portrayal of the hardships of a molester trying to regain his normality. Having to deal with back flashes and the internal struggles it is hard for him to even look at a young girl. All the actors take this project seriously, Benjamin Bratt and Mos Def both play off Kevin Bacon so well and vice versa. Hannah Pikes scene with Bacon are the most powerful scenes. The film doesn't allow the subject to be taken lightly and instead are made sure to be serious and even at times disturbing.

A disappointment
23 November 2005
Warning: Spoilers
When I set down to watch this film I thought I was in for something thought provoking, like the Devil's Advocate. Instead I was bored for the first hour and a half, the last part of the movie kept me interested, especially with us finally seeing who Frank was. But I could not honestly figure what in the hell I was watching. The point totally passed me. I honestly could not see what in the hell this movie was about. How one person affects the lives of an entire community? How we are all crazy? Or how life is just an imagination to some people? All the time travel points were pointless. I really which this movie had lived up to my expectations but NOPE it didn't.

What did you expect, Oscars?
26 August 2005
Warning: Spoilers
If you want a life changing movie, one that makes you think and wonder why you are alive; do not rent this. But if you want a funny, action and just fun movie; buy this.

DMX (as Fait) is a good actor. And with his last performance in Never Die Alone, he will only get better. His character is really a fatherly man having to be crooked in order to survive. Although you sure aren't going to see Fait's inner struggles, you will get to see him in action.

Jet Li doesn't have the greatest action scenes. Not as good as him versus himself in that horrible movie The One, or him fighting hovering over water in the amazing Heroe. Good action scenes. Of course the final confrontation in a ring of fire does seem familiar (remember Romeo Must Die).

Tom Arnold and Anthony Anderson provide great laughs. And Gabrielle Union is really only there as eye candy, but one is that a bad thing. This movie, regardless of its flaws, is still a good action movie with a heart.

Don't bother
26 August 2005
I hold a lot of hate for this song. I made the very stupid mistake of going to this movie and missing on the big screen South Park: Bigger, Longer and Uncut.

The laughs provided in this movie are forced chuckles. The story is not a plot you would expect from Will Smith, this is no Enemy of the State. Will Smith is always laughable but his jokes wither in this one. If you want to see a funny Will Smith movie, see Men in Black, don't bother with this.

The only thing worth giving a star to this movie is you see a butt shot of Salma Hayek(is that how you spell her name).

I heard the only reason that Will Smith was proud of this movie was because it gave him the freedom from his 4th of July box office hit expectations. Thank god he brought Ali and I Robot to the for-front. Maybe he should have left MIB II alone
