Mean Girls (2004)
Life changing movie...kinda..
This is such a solid movie. It is not some epic movie that will blow you away like the huge named movies coming out recently. But this is such an entertaining and super quotable movie. I probably saw this over a decade ago for the first time and myself and everyone I know still pulls quotes from this movie. Even when I flip through TV stations, this is one movie that I always stop on and can't stop watching. My sister once laughed as we had two tvs in her basement. She was watching the hockey game on a big screen TV, and her husband and I were consumed by mean girls on a small 18 inch TV. This is a classic that people will be entertained by for a long time. Acting was also pretty good as every character was believable and nothing felt too fake or forced.
Låt den rätte komma in (2008)
One of those to remember
I don't really have anything bad to say about this movie. I wasn't at the end of my seat unable to take my eyes off it, but I never once scoffed at something happening (which I do to many movies when they blunder). This was a change in direction of vampire movies. I like most vampire movies and think people imagining them in many ways is great. From Nosferatu, to 30 days of night, to Van Helsing; they all entertain me. But this was a movie that you would want to share with anyone. Not overly romantic or overly horrific in any means. The pictures were great, the story was great, and it made you wonder and think. I also like how the movie makes you think back to many events to come up with a different fate of the characters. I give it a 9 because I wasn't absolutely shell shocked at how good it was like I am occasionally, but I do think it is a really great movie.
Crawlspace (2012)
A confusing beginning that captivates throughout
I just chose this movie because it seemed more like a thriller sci- fi movie than a grotesque horror movie. The beginning of the movie starts right off the bat with action and big things happening, there was certainly no 20-30 start-up scene that lays the whole backstory. Not that this is a bad approach, it is just confusing to figure out what is going on and why each little thing matters towards the end of the movie. There are a couple events in this movie that don't make perfect sense for a while and I think that is why many people call this movie just like "Aliens" or similar to resident evil. Other than the beginning, where they have beeping motion trackers, the movie quickly goes away from seeming like "Aliens". (the movie is called Crawlspace so it is all in tight spaces which "Aliens" does a lot of as well..)There is are a few odd sci-fi aspects to this movie that made me give it a 7, along with it's confusing beginning. But no doubt! this movie rocked. The twists in the plot the come out over time are really entertaining. After watching the movie you start to think about the beginning and now knowing what you just learned, could probably go back and make perfect sense of it all. What the main characters go through the whole time and resolve at the end is just great. This movie proves a lot. You don't need huge budgets and top of the line actors to make a great movie. You can find foreign movies with actors you may not recognize and be thoroughly entertained. This movie is not perfect by any means, but it is a hidden gem that most people will never see.
Errors of the Human Body (2012)
One of the best I have seen in a long time
This is not an epic or perfect movie. It isn't The Dark Knight or The Revenant. It is a sci-fi thriller, for the most part, I would say. It even has some goofy sci-fi parts that I could see would lower its rating. People will also complain because it is a German movie with a German actress. But I think that makes it even better. There are no big name actors that are world renowned, but the actors in this movies do a great job. Never once was I bored or not entertained, they actors told a great story the whole time. I even think the German actress made the movie even better by just being abnormal to what American audiences typically see; she made me think differently about what was going on. All the characters were unique and really made this movie what it is. The whole concept of the movie wasn't anything too mind blowing. But it did have a good plot twist or two. This movie isn't the quality of the mainstream mega movies, but it is a hidden gem that movie lovers, philosophers, and scientists alike will truly enjoy. This

All in all I was entertained
I think I went into this movie with the right attitude of knowing it wasn't going to be anything near great, because it sure was not great. I do think it was somewhat good. Not really. It was somewhat entertaining enough for me to not regret it. I did like this movie for what it was. It'll just go into the category of interesting horror movies I have watched but wouldn't say oh hey I gotta watch it again.
This movie could have been much better if it had a larger budget, better actors/actresses, and a longer run time to allow character development.
I didn't like how the killers didn't really accomplish much killing. Maybe having less killers or more kidnapped carnies would of been better. All the killers seemed interesting but we never got enough time with them to really enjoy a performance. The squad just powered right through the next 4 after Sickhead. I also didn't like the lack of gore. I thought this movie would be disgusting(in a good way) and over the top with its kills, but it wasn't at all. I also didn't like all the hype about this movie, which is why I came in saying this won't be great. The word had seemed to spread around about it being delayed because it was too disgusting and it wasn't at all. And the word of someone copied the heath ledger joker made me not want to see this. It was just one of those movies that you can tell by the rumors that it won't be great.
What I did like though was the characters. Despite not having any development and a reason to care, I found all the killers visually entertaining. A Spanish Nazi killer clown midget is just crazy, but still kind of fun. The rest of the characters all seemed to have more to them but we were just never able to experience it. I also really enjoyed Doom Head. As stated before the idea that he was heath ledger's joker just made me angry, and everyone that told me that was dead wrong. While still crazy in a way, he was a very different character. I thought his character was pretty good for the most part. Having his scenes come in was like a breath of not so stale air. It kind of picked up the pace and the interest of the movie. I don't think any actor/actress's character was great but I think he was on the better side.
