Where people look at film as simple entertainment and timepass, I look at film as art. Film is for me the portraying of ideas, concepts, stories, performances, identities and scenery. Crafting a great film requires both harmony, and attention to detail. The better the elements, the better the films.
Underneath is a list of 10 elements, which I generally look for when evaluating a film:
Plot (Story/Narrative and Plausibility)
Attraction (Premise & Entertainment Value)
Theme (Identity & Depth)
Acting (Characters & Performance)
Dialogue (Storytelling & Context)
Cinematography (Visual Language & Lighting, Setting, and Wardrobe)
Editing (Pace & Effects)
Soundtrack (Sound Design & Film Score)
Directing (Vision & Execution)
The βItβ Factor (One-of-a-Kind & Transcendent)

Underneath I have my ranking system from 1-10 with description for each score.
Ranking System:
1- Worthless films! I don't even know what to say to be honest.
2- Awful films! Not one redeeming quality. Film not even trying.
3- Really bad films! Hard to watch, especially because the film is somewhat trying.
4- Bad films! Films where the bad outweighs the good. Mostly boring and uninteresting.
5- Mediocre films! Not bad necessarily, but nothing in it making it worth watching. Plain.
6- Average films! Alright films with one or two strengths that really carries. Often a fun watch, but has several flaws nonetheless.
7- Decent films! Good films that are solid overall.
8- Great films! Better than most films, only one or two weak points.
9- Perfect films! No weak points, from start to finish. Every element is top-tier.
10- My personal favourites! Significantly impacted and influenced my film journey.

Remember, I use a decimal scoring system (this I note to myself, not possible to do on IMDB unfortunately), which will make some films have noticeably difference in quality, even with the same score. For instance, one film could be 6.1 and another could be 6.8.
To be ranked 6, you have to score at least 6.0 on the decimal scoring system. This goes for every other rank as well. The only exception to the rule are 10s. They rank anywhere from 9.4 to 9.9. (An actual 10 doesn't exist, right).

At the moment, I have ranked 1,111 films (including tv-series).
Only 15 films have achieved a perfect score of 10.
Only 4 TV-Series have achieved a perfect score of 10.

I regularly update my lists, research material and readjust ratings.
If there are any inconsistencies and/or errors on my page, in any way, I'll be sorting it out as soon as I can.
Lastly: I have many lists on my profile that you can check out π
