Atlanta: Tarrare (2022)
Wtf
Love the show - acting and production superb . But this season feels offbeat full of mediocrity and peculiar episodes . Vans accent sounds to be like homage to British comedy allo allo. Roll on season 4 get the guys back home .
Succession (2018)
Clever corporate Caper
Wall Street meets King Lear . Brilliant one liners that have you forever chuckling brilliantly acted and delivers another modern day HBO classic . Anyone whom says otherwise doesn't get it . Cannot wait for season 4!
Gomorrah: Episode #5.10 (2021)
Masterpiece from start to finish
Haven't felt this numb at the end of a series for years . Poetic finish to a wonderfully crafted show . The end I think was satisfactory if not shocking .
Godfather of Harlem: The Hate That Hate Produced (2021)
Masterpiece
Pulsating episode full of paradoxes , strife & drama . Up there with classic breaking bad and sopranos .
Finding Jack Charlton (2020)
Insightful documentary on the remarkable Jack Charlton
This documentary takes you on a rollercoaster of how and Englishman restored pride and self respect of the Irish . He used football as a means to an end . Please watch wonderfully put together.
Trial 4 (2020)
Crime documentary
Narrative of structural corrupt policing and structural racism . Seems like we've unfortunately heard this all before .
Lovecraft Country (2020)
Classy storytelling
Stranger things but the adult version . HP would approve !
Gangs of London (2020)
It's good but it's not Gomorrah
I enjoyed the show on the whole but the grittiness sometimes got juxtaposed with melodrama and John Wick style violence . Less is more but still a solid 8/10 .
Living Undocumented (2019)
Masterful documentary
Do not read half the politically motivated ignorance in the comments this is great storytelling . Judge the show not the ignoramouses on the feed!
Diego Maradona (2019)
Calcio warts and all
I really enjoyed the fusion of Diego the lovable rags to riches genius and Maradona the privately addicted playboy . Some of the footage is remarkable and asif kapadia nails it AGAIN . Enjoy !!
Chernobyl: Open Wide, O Earth (2019)
Masterful historical drama
Haunting atmospheric hypnotic it's not often you watch a show and as it unfolds , you realise you are watching something very special . I must also add the fusion of despair horror camaraderie etc makes for a great of at times tough watch . Please watch a masterpiece in the making !
Gomorrah (2014)
A modern day masterpiece
Brilliantly acted , visceral and with a haunting sound track . What I love about this show is the tension the drama and warts and all depiction of the Camorra . It's a way of life out of poverty and destitution but ultimately you have to pay the highest price before you reach any age . For those that don't like subtitles may not be for you but to be fair you'd be foolish to miss out on a show in my eyes up there with sopranos, the wire and OZ
The Ox-Bow Incident (1942)
Class
A sobering tale of mobocracy leaves a bitter taste in the mouth ,.
The Walking Dead: What Comes After (2018)
End of TWD
Captivating, enthralling , dramatic just a real tour de fource. Feeling empty after this episode but not because it wasn't phenomenal but because losing Carl and Rick just kills the show for me as an avid reader.
