Amazing Film, Must See!!!
26 July 2008
What an amazing and powerful film.

It just goes to show that Mamet is capable of applying his style to just about any kind of film.

I don't know why I discovered this movie by accident, I should be hearing about it from everyone, it's really that good.

I won't sit here and go over the plot or anything like that, just wanted to say that I never write comments on films here, as a matter of fact, this is only the 2nd time.

This movie is awesome, if you are a fan of David Mamet's films it is absolutely essential to watch as it really shows an evolution and maturity in his work never seen before.

The usual gang is all here, Joe Mantegna, Ricky Jay, Rebecca Pidgeon, with everyone putting in a solid performance. However it is Chiwetel Ejiofor who blows the doors off the entire movie business here, this is surely a sign of great things to come for a man who is still relatively unknown.

WATCH THIS MOVIE!

do not watch this movie!

even a review would be a waste of time, but i'll give you the important bits: this is one of the most poorly written films i have ever seen.

the fact that so many decent actors/comedians are in it is beyond me. i can't explain how they suckered these guys into regurgitating the terrible dialog.

the story goes nowhere, takes forever, and basically sucks.

no one is like-able, there is no hero, no bad guy, just nothing.

it is a vapid, useless, and moronic film, and THE ABSOLUTE WORST attempt at making a dark comedy i have ever seen in my entire life.

from the script, to the editing, to the directing, absolutely everything is painful.

please, save yourself, do not watch this movie.
