Turn (2014)
Memorable & Fantastic
I'm a little late to the party, only recently having finished this series, but it wont leave my memory anytime soon. I really enjoyed this series. There's fantastic acting, tear-jerking moments, real emotion and real stress here. I would absolutely recommend this to anyone who likes history, or just generally wants a good show. The only issue I take with this is: I wish we saw Laurens at all, and I personally would have loved more Lafayette.
But one can only beg so much. Overall, a fantastic show.
Marble Hornets (2009)
A Massive Series
What Marble Hornets is: A series about college kids who get caught up into some really, really weird stuff. Its slow, its confusing, but not just to us, to the characters to. We see what they see. We only know what they know. Thats /the point/.
What Marble Hornets is to people with no patience or understanding: Slow, boring, uninteresting, unfun.
Marble Hornets lost a bit of magic when it ended because - now for new viewers, you didn't get to see it progress. A lot of this series to me was waiting and watching for updates, eager to see what was next. At the height of this, I would say in 2012, it really was a community series. I remember staying up all night with friends, talking about theories, discussing new tweets and watching the entries together. Now you really can't do that, and its not the fault of THAC that it just lost that bit of magic.
But I digress. This series is slow at the beginning, weird at the middle, and absolutely insane at the end. I would absolutely recommend this series to anyone with a patience and maybe, you know, a love for seeing how the slenderverse started. Because this series freakin' pioneered it, lads.
Supernatural (2005)
Good Start.
Supernatural is one of my favorite shows of all time.
Well, like, up until season 6.
Season 1 started off this show strong. It felt good, it looked good, it was scary sometimes. You really feel this bond between this brothers.
Season 2 and 3 are good, too, just not as good as season 1 and thats fine.
Season 4 is where i begin to have issues. It doesn't feel like a monster hunting story anymore, it doesn't feel like Sam and Dean's story. But still, even here, it is fine.
Season 5 takes a really hard clash. Everything feels stale, reused and recycled.
Season 6 is the last season I kind of enjoyed. At least here we have some new content, new ideas, but thats It. What really made me angry is the inconsistent writing for Sam; /does/ he love his brother? Soulless!Sam clearly doesn't and thats /understandable/, but it seems like after season 6 Sam *never goes back to who he was before.* It would be fine if this was addressed and kept consistent afterwards, but Sam is literally just straight up uncaring for like 3 seasons for no reason. Everything after season 7 Sam is literally unrecognizable, and its not "character development" - because im not even sure the writers know what that is. Season 6 has a lot of other issues, like poor plot, annoying writing and for Pete's sake after 6 seasons im tired of *bang loud music* *cuts every 2 seconds* *ACTION SCENES* *SOMEONE IS THROWN OVER A TABLE* *ARE YOU FEELING TENSE NOW MR KRABS?*
All in all everything past season 6 and 7 is just annoying. I've seen fan fiction written by 12 year olds more consistent.
Season 1-4 is a solid 8 or 9 for me, everything past is one star less for each season they renew. But hey, money, am I right?Supernatural: Great Past, Horrible Present
Split (2016)
A Terrible Movie Cashing in on Mental Illness.
Not really sure what else i can say, other than this movie is awful, and stereotypes people with mental illness as crazy, insane criminals. As someone who has experienced actual mental health issues, this movie just furthers discrimination against us. This movie was unneeded, unwanted, and does more harm than good.
M. Night brings another piece of crap film to screens.
Merlin (2008)
A really, really good show.
I started watching Merlin a few years ago, and when i feel like sh*t i re-watch this. Its a great show with characters you don't just hate or love, and that makes it feel real. It has a genuinely good plot, though i would say season 4 was extremely boring and slow. (It uses a lot of plot stuff from the earlier seasons to kill time.) The ending made me cry, and watching everything unfold made you sit on the edge of your seat. I guarantee you wont see certain things coming. Not to mention the scenery is really nice, the music is great, the costumes look good, etc.
If you have the time, watch this show. Its really amazing.
