Luther: The Fallen Sun (2023)
Honestly, people just hate Netflix
In my experience netflix movies will always get more hate and a lower rating. Apperently people just hate netflix, for those who don't have that affliction, the following
It is a great watch! I loved the series when I was a kid, so this got me exited. It is just like the series: gritty, cold and much thriller fun! Just don't expect a next-level cinematogrophic achievement. For an action mystery thriller, it is pretty good, everything you want from that. It ain't john wick but it definitely isn't your everyday cgi bullcrap blockbuster.
If you liked the idea of Idris Elba as bond (I know I did!), Then you will love this movie!
The Pale Blue Eye (2022)
I liked it
People will always give netflix movies an unfairly low rating. If a netflix movie reaches 7+, like don't look up, it has to be undeniably good. To me this was a great movie
Okay, it was not glass onion or one of the all time great mysteries, but it ticked most boxes for a good movie. It kept me entertained throughout, the cinematography is briliant, it is definitely not boring, and I for one, did not expect the twist.
Best thing about this movie? The actor of Dudley, playing E. A. Poe, was amazing and to me it was very statisfying seeing him doing so well. Christian Bale was great as always.
I would like people to accept Netflix for once and accept that these days, they do make good movies. Very fun watch, I highly recommend it!
Hotel Mumbai (2018)
Great movie
Everyone can have their own opinion, to me this just was a good suspense thriller. It has a very clear massage: terrorism is a weak and inhuman act of violence. I think movies like this are necessary to keep young boys from radicalizing to terrorism. It is good, violent and drive even the most hardend viewers to become emotional. So just give it a watch.
The Place Beyond the Pines (2012)
Different
This movie is a hard one. It is definitely well made, but the story is very different, it follows 3 different lifes after each other, with 3 different protagonists. The protagonists don't really show up again in the stories of the others. I just expected a Goslin vs Cooper thriller, which it really isn't. So watch it you were hoping for that don't watch it, if you just want to watch a good movie that's different it is a great watch.
