Only Fools and Horses: Sleepless in Peckham...! (2003)
A silly way to end, in my opinion
The whole episode revolves around Del's problem at trying to find a way of telling Rodney about his real father and Rodney worrying about telling Del. In the episode thicker than water, Del and Grandad had no such problem, they just came straight out and told him, whereas the one of the main areas is the difficulty at how to break the news.
To me, the last three episodes were very unnecessary, again in my opinion, it should have ended when they became millionaires, if you were going to carry on beyond the millionaire episode, it would have been fun to see what they spent their money on or different places they could have gone with their money, Del becoming a trader in another country or adventures in Brazil or other countries.
It was a good series which I enjoy watching again and again. In my opinion John Sullivan was a great writer but if I had to say a mistake I feel he made it was the introduction of Cassandra and Raquel. I feel that the comedy came from Grandad Del and Rodney/ Uncle Albert, in my opinion all Raquel and Cassandra did was make them family men with family responsibilities whereas the real comedy I feel came from them having no family commitments. When you look back on the adventures they had, if they had family commitments from the start, most of their adventures would never have been possible, for example, the episode where they go to Spain with Grandad, they would have taken Cassandra and Raquel and Damien with them.
Porridge (2017)
I would give it 0 if I could.
Wonderful PC remake of a classic, female prisoner officer, female governor, plenty of African prisoners, no jokes except PC ones, an example, fletch said to someone you will be the oldest prisoner and he said no there was an axe murderer who is 86 and the canned laughter started up.
To sum up like the old show except all the humour taken out and replaced with lashings of political correctness.
Only Fools and Horses: The Jolly Boys' Outing (1989)
Turning point
Very funny episode of the situation comedy Only Fools and Horses but to me this was the turning point in the series when Raquel and Cassandra were firmly established as characters and personally I think they ruined the series. Only fools and horses was in my opinion a very funny series but I think the crux of the humour came from del rodney and grandad, I personally liked Lennard Pearce more as he in my opinion was a more believable Grandad. I think Raquel and Cassandra spolit the series as it was a sign Del and Rodney were growing characters and they now had family responsibilities whereas before Del and Rodney were concentrating on making money and getting into funny situations but Raquel and Cassandra made them concentrate more on settling down and having a family. Family responsibility destroyed the comedy, Steptoe and Son was very funny but the Humour came from Harold and his dad, if they had been married the comedy element would have been lost.
Jigsaw (2017)
Jigsaw
I love horror movies and while this is not the greatest movie I have ever seen, if I was to award any less than 10/10 it would mean there was something I did not like about the movie which is not right. This is a great movie as there are so many of these found footage crap films, my experience of these are they are not scary, they just leave you with a bad migraine. A good example of this is the Blair Witch project, this must be the worst movie I have ever seen, it was not scary and how anyone classified it as a horror film I do not know. Onto Saw, the main thing that pleased me is that it was a new chapter to the franchise and not a remake of the original ( I would never say reboot, reboot is what you do to a computer). The film starts with four people in a room being told they had to perform tasks in order to free themselves, this is how the film carries on leading to the detectives believing that Jigsaw may not actually be dead and instead of a copycat killer, it could be jigsaw himself. The only bad thing about these movies is at the end kind of like Miss Marple, I can never figure how they come to the conclusion. I did not think it was very scary, but there were plenty of stomach churning moments in the film, I just hope if they make another it is a new film and not a remake.
