Little Women (2017)
Fell in love with this adaptation to well known classic!
I have seen many Little Women films since reading the book in my formative years. This is by far my favorite. The cinematography is beautifully done and the lighting throughout is perfection. There are many unique scenes. For example, the sick mother and children in town the March family cared for on Christmas and following up with Beth's return. The Army tent scene with the March father serving as Pastor and the locks of his daughters' hair on his writing desk. The hilarious moment of Amy's interview for Aunt March and parrot standing on her shoulder pecking her hair! The characters are portrayed is the best possible way with a true naturalness. This was a treat to the eyes and a lovely retelling of a beloved tradition.
The Munsters (2022)
Every Munster fan will love this!
FUN! A little 80's MTV and a little Saturday morning Pee-Wee Herman. Backstory of The Munsters life in Transylvania. Fans will love the many references to the original TV show episodes. Bringing back Herman's love for showbiz and Grandpa looking a bit like the Wizard from Oz. The actor playing Lily does a great mix of the original character and Sabrina from Bewitched. No doubt she is a fan of both portrayals! And who didn't want more Sabrina anyway! I will be watching this on the reg every year in the Fall. If children have watched the Orgs from the Ring movies, they can handle this. Relax and enjoy this lighthearted movie!
Awkwafina Is Nora from Queens (2020)
Great show!!! Love Awkwafina!!
The characters are original, endearingly quirky and the writing hilarious! I would recommend it to everyone.
A Madea Family Funeral (2019)
Cried Laughing!!!
I'm a fan of Madea from when the Madea family performed on stage. Had the videos. Not only does Tyler Perry make this story hilarious but he writes in a way that reminds me of Aesop's Fables....always a moral and wise words at the end. Watched it twice and probably will watch again!
Aquaman (2018)
More story, less battles.
Expected to see more of his mother's story and what happened once she returned to Atlantis. Also more of Aquaman's relationship with creatures of the sea, so powerful. So many explosions and battles felt boring, gratuitous.
The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel (2017)
Brilliant!!!
Brilliant writing and acting! Side note, I have not seen some of the props used in the set for decades. So fun to pick out the details...vintage makeup, kitchen pots and home decor.
