As near to a perfect movie as one could hope for! The performances are flawless, and the story line is gripping. I can't say enough good things about this film. If you're looking for a film that you can watch with the whole family, this is a great option. It's very romantic. I highly recommend it!

Ordinary People (1980)

Depressing and lackluster

I know that there's a lot of people who feel that the performances in this movie are brilliant etc. Honestly, I just found it kind of depressing, and not particularly entertaining or inspirational. I feel like there's enough misery in the world - on a Friday night I'm not wanting to depress myself even more with a movie like this. Just not my thing at all.

Amélie (2001)

A really cute movie

This is a delightful film! There are so many heavy, depressing things happening in the world today - we all need an escape from time to time. This film is uplifting and inspirational, just a really lovely little gem of a movie. I thoroughly enjoyed it, and I'm not much one for foreign movies.

I really liked that this film is so outside the box. Documentaries about theology and the middle east tend to be pretty dull, but this film is completely unlike those standard talking head pieces. They could have played it really safe, and been very conservative with a bunch of experts just talking at the camera, but instead this film actually illustrates and depicts the history. It tells the story in a very innovative way. I feel like there are enough of those boring talking head documentaries out there, it's good to see something ambitious and unexpected!!! The message is powerful, I think every Christian should watch this. Thumbs up from me!

A Great Production

I'm not usually one for small group Bible studies, but this was a very stimulating course. There was plenty to discuss during every session, and I thought that the presenter did a great job. I thought that the shots were beautiful, and everything from the music to the performances were well produced. It definitely kept our group engaged.
