Spyro: Enter the Dragonfly (2002)
Horrid game
As a lover of the spyro games. I have to protest heavily against this game.
When I started playing the game, I became increasingly frustrated. The game would lag because of all the spiffy new graphics that the PS2 just couldn't halde. So the game was choking, a lot. But the main-character in this game is not moving properly. He's slow and sluggish. And does not command well. Not nearly as agile as in the previous games.
The Previous Spyro games had excellent gameplay. I suggest that you don't waste any money on this game. This is the worst takeover baby in the history of gaming. Merely because of this game, I have refused to purchase the 5th Spyro game, "Hero's tail". If the standards of this games series have dropped so seriously. I recommend that you try before you buy.
Gauntlet Legends (1998)
Boriiiing!
This game is a horrible two button game. It is incredibly tedious and long winded.
All you do is basically run around and kill, kill, kill. There is no plot, no design an no graphic value. The game was purchased for a minimum game worth, and the results were like so.
You can choose from 4 main characters (and unlock 4 more hidden characters) to begin with. And even choose what color they should be! yellow, red, green, blue. Then, you go from realm to realm, to find obelisks in each 'realm' and poke things to death. I missed the obelisk in the first level and had to go through it again because the graphics were so horrid I had no idea what it was.
The game in itself if a splendid purchase if you mean to fall asleep. As a matter of fact, I've often used this game whenever I have trouble sleeping. But running around levels hacking your way monotonously through hordes of green blobs (orcs, I presume) is not in any way enticing. I suggest you get this game for 4 year olds. That is to say, if you don't have any standards for them. They might be entertained by the colors in the game.
