Elektra (2005)

Not bad at all, underrated movie with good stunts

I am watching this movie in 2023. It is underrated for sure.

I gave it a goon a week night and was positively surprised enough to watch it until the end.

Entertaining with a good basic story and the characters are well enough developed. Better than the stereotypes in some stupid blockbuster movies we get right now.

Nothing pretentious.

Nice effects, quite still actual for a 2005 movie.

Not a blockbuster but worth watching.

Jennifer Gardner has a strong presence and grace at the same time.

Martial art fights are good and I did appreciate the reduced amount of blood compared to the movies you can see nowadays.

Not sure why it is so negatively reviewed..

Harry & Meghan (2022)

Very courageous documentary with a strong voice

They are both courageous and looking for transparency. Self-reflective, they face mistakes and hopes, feelings and emotions, social constructs and institutions.

The documentary express "it is who we are. And you can judge us but now we spoke directly to you, and not manipulated stories and garbage people read in newspaper or online."

It is a process many people should do for themselves if we are to change the societies we live in for a better future.

Definitely watch it before listening to gossips and detrimental sharks.

For me, this is a very good documentary and I hope it will help many people open their mind and their heart.

The 355 (2022)

Very good movie, took me back to seeing the first Bourne Identity movie

We decided to go see it in spite of the bad reviews. And we are glad we did! Both my husband and I got hooked straight away and the movie kept us in all along!

Very good action movie, well acted, with human beings and not invincible super heroes. It took me back to the first time I saw The Bourne Identity. Watch it for yourself.

The Matrix Resurrections (I) (2021)

Looks like the harsh critics are still taking the blue pill!

This movie makes you think and reflect, are you ready for it?

It is a great movie and I will see it again.

Rating for me is an 8 but I gave a 10 as a statement against the ridiculous low ratings some people gave.

I suppose it is all about expectations and what people understand, and how they can relate to the story, the analogies and perceptions.

I like it when I am surprised and taken to unchartered thoughts and reflections and Matrix 4 does this all along. If open to it, one can see and hear many aspects of our society and humans' behaviours. So true. And yes, it is time for changes.

It is definitely different from the 2 and 3 movies which are more conventional. This one is not, and I do prefer it from the previous sequels.

Definitely to be seen at the cinema!

We watched it not really knowing what to expect and we did really like it!

Fun and unconventional, refreshing perspective, great singing, dancing, colourful costumes.

We liked it very much! All of us :-)

Don't listen to the haters, just watch it and have a good time.

I have never read the book or even heard of it.

This is brilliant. And so actual.

For everyone at all ages.

To watch, enjoy, reflect and learn.

Zack Snyder's Justice League (2021)

Didn't like the first movie, this one is a masterpiece!

As much as I did not like the first making of Justice League, this one is so powerful and full of beauty (yes, beauty).

There are some scenes that kept us holding our breath, like suspended in the moment.

I don't know how to explain, needs to be experienced.

I wish they will release a theatrical version of it, this deserves to be on the big big screen!

Black Widow (2021)

Action, stunts, great acting, fun, heart, sisterhood and hope!

The acting is great. Florence Pugh is a star. Great action and fun, and the characters have a heart and a mind. In the midst of all the traditional of the action movie, emotions and human lives are said and heard. We loved it. I will watch it again for sure!

Good popcorn movie! Better than the first one

We wanted some action movie for a change and also needed some cinema experience. So we chose this movie and watched the first one the night before so we would have some background info. The first movie was quite bad, but not that bad at the same time. Not sure how to explain this. Acting was good, some fun parts. It was ok to watch at home. We didn't expect much from the sequel but we still went and were actually positively surprised. It's a good movie, simple story, easy to follow, some things are somewhat out of place but the action is good and it kept us hooked until the end. Good easy popcorn movie.

What can we say. Me and my husband went to see this movie, and I was expecting something good, but not that amazing. It went under my skin and my husband was also speech less at the end. Emotional and so human, real and simple. A masterpiece of humanity, poetry, see the magic in our everyday's challenges and traumas. The story can seem to unfold slowly, but it grabbed us, all the way until the end. I work in Mental Health and with a large array of people. This movie touched me so deeply. It has some confronting aspects, and shows the pain as it is. It has so beautiful magic too, and the strengths of human beings. We both loved it. I hope it is nominated for awards, it definitely deserves it.

Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)

Very entertaining and a fun flair of the 80's!! Some people gave a 1/10????

The first WW was amazing, WW1984 is very good. There is a definite early 80's style to it. Yes, it is adapted from a comic book, and therefore made this way, as is Batman, Superman and more.. Acting is very good. And action scenes are great. The beginning of the movie is powerful. WW brings some light and smiles, fun and adventure mood, it is not a dark movie and it is what we need in our world, some fun and light. The people who are destroying it in giving 1 out of 10 reviews have been expecting something different obviously, however I don't understand how you can give a 1/10 for this movie! Seriously? The plot is a comic book plot, which is fun and has lightness. I expected a fun entertaining movie, this movie is successfully made as such, with this funny flair of the 80's. Go see it on a big screen, it's really fun!

No spoilers. We loved it, we will go again next weekend! I am relieved to read in a previous review from someone else that he/she did not always get what the actors were saying. I thought that it was my ears that were not so good on the day.. not sure if it is the sound or if they were speaking very fast.. But we are going to see it again anyway, and on a big screen again!

The Secret: Dare to Dream (2020)

A feel good movie with some elements of 'The Secret' but not forceful

What a nice movie! Very well acted, funny, romantic and uplifting.

I read the book and can confirm from my way of life that the quantum physics of the law of attraction, our thoughts create our life, is definitely working. It is not forceful in this movie though, just seeds planted here and there.. gentle and soft like the warm sunshine in the spring..

This movie is for everyone, anytime, with or without popcorn! Enjoy!

We liked it! Maybe we are weird... but we did like it! It is a Musical, not an action movie. I have not seen the broadway show and always wanted to. I am so glad they made this movie. Just go a decide yourself :-)

Charlie's Angels (2019)

Fun Fun Fun! and stay for the credits!!

Don't get fooled by the very low reviews, it is a fun movie! Old fashion action without flashy special effect, witty and fresh, those girls kick it and they are humans too! They have all the Charlie's Angels components! They are modern angels who feel natural and could be the girls next door.. We definitely had a great time, and you have to stay for the scenes that are during the credits! Two sets of scenes during the credits, don't miss them! Have fun!

Last Christmas (2019)

A pure delight!

What a little gem of a movie! I did expect an average cute Xmas movie and there I get something that goes further than that! It is located in London and has this charming European Xmas touch. This is a wonderful movie to watch any time, Xmas or no Xmas. Acting is great, it was such a great time for laughter, smiles, joy, tears and reflection. We really enjoyed it much more than expected!
