The Handmaid's Tale: Pigs (2021)
This is war !
A great start to a promising season. Actoes performance is still excellent, and beautiful cinematography. Gilead think that their enemy is Canada, are preparing for the war outside the border, but the biggest enemy is within. Hopefully we'll get a great conclusion.
Taineun Jiokida (2019)
Breathtaking
Beautifully shot, thought provoking thriller, great acting, great script. What else to ask for?
This isn't your average K-drama, this is what every thriller should be.
Kol (2020)
Original Thriller
This is a solid movie, good pacing, great acting from Park Shin Hye. Of course Korean know how to make thrillers. It's definitely worth watching. By the way, I liked the ending, it's perfect.
His Dark Materials: Theft (2020)
Breathtaking
This show is just breathtaking, just the right pacing. I understand why some people might not like the pacing, since we live in a world where everyone needs instant satisfaction ... But this show isn't about that. I havent read the Book, never watched the movie and I'm totally hooked. There's so much mystery and symbolism in this universe. Visuals are stunning, actors are fantastic, especially Ruth Wilson, dialogue is well writen. What else to ask for ? This is as good as fantasy show can get.
Messiah (2020)
Excellent show
As a Muslim, I thought this show was brilliant. A geopolitical/religious Thriller that keeps you wanting for more.
There's nothing offensive about it, you "faith" must be very weak if a fictional show can offend you.
The Crown: Moondust (2019)
Breathtaking and great story telling
This is the best episode so far, beautiful and poetic, exploring Philippe's character who's in search of the meaning of life, just as everyone else ... Wonderful actor and beautiful shots.
Ka-teu (2014)
A very good Korean movie
The message behind the movie is powerful, Korean retails workers fighting to keep their job , the movie does a good job highlighting bad work conditions and women coming together to fight corporate greed.
The Handmaid's Tale: Household (2019)
Outstanding cinematography
Every shot is a work of art and people complaining about how "slow" the plot is moving forget that they're watching the Handmaid's Tale not some action series. Every scene is beautifully shot and acted, you rarely see this level of beauty on television. The last scene between Serena and June in front on Lincoln's broken statue was outstanding. I loved every minute of this episode. Also loved how Nick isn't such a good guy after all.
The Handmaid's Tale: Useful (2019)
Serena joy has an amazing character development
The episode is about two main characters : Serena Joy and Commander Lawrence ..two founders of Gilead that June is trying to recruit as her allies. If she succeeds, it will be the frist step towards the end. I know that people find the series to be too "slow" but I personally enjoy every moment of it. So many memorable scenes already like the house burning or Emily being applauded at the hospital.
The Handmaid's Tale: Mary and Martha (2019)
Beautiful and full of hope
This episode is beautiful just like the first one. It's the beginning of the resistance.
Game of Thrones: The Bells (2019)
Danaerys isn't a "mad queen"
I give this episode a 7 out of 10 because it's visually stunning.
But I agree with the negative reviews about Danaerys. Still, rating this episode 1/10 is unfair ... This episode still tops many other shows in term of cinematography and acting, so you're not being honest. When rating a series, you should rate it from an objective point of view.
In the Books, Danaerys Stormborn is a conflicted character, she shows some traits of "madness" from time to time, she's not so different from her brother Viserys, even if she's smarter and less delusional then him. She has all the traits of a pure Targaryen. So it will make sense when she goes mad in the books.
In the Series, she's the ultimate hero, saving everyone, freeing slaves, falling in love with Jon Snow, protecting the inoncent ... It doesn't make sense for her to kill children out of vengeance. It would've made sense if she started doing it before. She killed the Tarlys after a battle, and killed Master's but never killed an innocent soul. She didnt even accept collateral damage when she sacked all the other cities, she wanted the Dothraki and the Unsullied to stay away from Innocents.
I LOVE Danaerys, and would've loved her Dark Side if it was portrayed correctly, what they've done so far isn't very convincing.
Game of Thrones: The Last of the Starks (2019)
A waste of GREAT actors
GoT actors are amazing, but this episode is a disappointment.
I think I can right better than this. I've read fan fiction with a more believable scenario.
Many things happening here are out of character. Danaerys going "mad" is really unconvincing ... How she sees Jon Snow, a Targaryen as the "threat" is beyond crazy. She goes from the world savior to power hungry maniac ... When everything she really wanted since the beginning was to "Break the wheel".
How two dragons survived the Night King just to get killed by Euron is not believable either, especially not the way it was done.
Game of Thrones: The Long Night (2019)
All the negative reviews ? Really ?
This is the best episode to date. The end made perfect sense, people are crazy to say it was "mediocre writing". It was the best writing I've ever seen. People also forget that the end has already been written by George R R Martin, so this is what's you're going to get from the books too.
Just because you had 10000 theories it doesn't mean you're a "better writer".
Game of Thrones: Winterfell (2019)
A great beginning !
This is the very first time I post a game of thrones review and this is a GREAT episode. I don't understand all the "boring" reviews ? Aren't you interested in the characters, the actors ? There's no sense in action without build up.
This episode is everything you would hope for for a great show, people disappointed that it only shows "reunions" aren't really invested in the show, the writing, the amazing acting, the same people who've been complaining throughout the show and are only happy about episode 9 and 10... Just want action and CGI. This is Game of Thrones not The Avengers. You should try another show.
Contratiempo (2016)
Well-written thriller
This movie is almost a masterpiece. It deserves a solid 8/10. Just when you think you understand it, the movie reminds you of the complexity of the situation and throws another mystery at you.the acting is outstanding, especially from the actress who portrays the lawyer.
There are few unexplained plot holes that didn't bother me that much. The viewer experience is amazing, so if you're not familiar with Spanish movies, you should definitely start with this one !
