Danish King of Comedy has grown up.
17 June 2023
With beautiful Portugal as a backdrop, Casper Christensen shows a new side of himself in this series, where the once "King Of Danish Comedy" shows sensitivity and a new depth, in interviews with prominent Danish celebrities. I am two episodes in, and I am definately sold. I am the same generation as CC, but were never realy a fan of his style at the time. So I didn't start watching this series, because I thought it would be more of that style. But to my supprize, he seems to have grown up and is now putting his talent for openmindedness into a more mature form. Unusual for men of our generation.

Heartfelt, honest and interesting. I realy like it.

Mrs. Kidman wearing a mask
13 December 2020
I realy like the story. I haven't read the book, so I can't compare. I like the light gjtimg, the settings, the estetics. All og that. Beautiful. The story is great and ALL the actors are wonderfully talenter. Even the kids. There os one thing that bothered med throughout the film, and the reason I didn't rate it 8. The lack og emotion showing in Nicole Kidman's face, because og all her facelifts and what not. IT is like looking at a wax figure. She is a brilliant actor, but nothing shows on her face realy. I wish the big stars would own their age and show it in all it's imperfect beauty. It is what marked ud human. And IT is what marked great acting believable. A cold, rigid mask is no asset to even the greatest actors.

Christmas in the Highlands (2019 TV Movie)

Perhaps the worst ever
4 December 2020
Going through the endless selection of Christmas films, this one dermed ok. But alas. The leading lady is the worst actor. No sense of timing AT all. The male lead is better and the only reason to actualy watch. Light and sound tecnique must be up for Worst Ever prize. it is appaling. The plot is rather lame as well. And the scottish names og places seems to be taken from a top ten hits of a Google search om scottish Places. Lord, it was a Long hour and a half. I only for through it because I had alkohol at hand.

Forget the haters
19 January 2020
I realy loved this movie. These are some pretty amazing actors, doing their thing, being hilarious. I loved the original movie, amd to me this is a great omage to that. Just wonderful. I'm wondering what all the critizism is about. Maybe all male viewers, being sexist? I realy don't get all the hate. I thought it was brilliant.

Best women empowerment movie ever
28 August 2019
I just love this movie. I loved the tv-series, so I was looking very much forward to the movie. It met all my great expectations. There are so many moments where I almost peed my pants, laughing. I love the way it washes the dirty laundry of an entire industry. To the point, and at the same time with humour and loads of love. The men in the movie are a bit course, but that is sort of the point, I guess. In any case, all the charactres - especially the women - from Dittes daughter to the female director of the viking movie - are all so lovable with all their different points of view and phasets of women and men, flaws and all.

If the plot hadn't already been spoiled in the trailer, you would easily guess it about five minutes into the movie anyway

Warning: Spoilers
I was hoping for some surprice plottwist. But no. The plot is actualy fully revieled in the trailer.

Others have commented on them, so I don't need to, but there are so many plot holes and strange details that aren't followed up on.

One thing that just realy was the last straw for me was this:

There is a lash on the door too the bedroom, where Jennifer is locked in. She could have just opened the lash to get out. Like I'm guessing fake husband did, when he was locked in at the end.

The acting wasn't too bad though. Shame that the script, plot and direction was so bad..

Lots of great laughs.

I realy enjoyed myself throughout this movie. McCarthy is always funny and brilliant. Her co-stars were surprizingly talented. The younger castmembers in particular were quite talented. Of cause the parts were very well written, and a nice change from your average college movie, where every part usualy fills some stereotype cliche role. So the deapth of these girls - although still fitted into a light comedy - is such a lovely surprize. The plot was great and the story was very well written. The whole girlpower-mom/daughter-youth/age theme worked very well. A big thumb up!

Just.. No
15 August 2018
Warning: Spoilers
I had no expectations, just thought I'd kill time with a nice action movie.

Well.. It doesn't even mesure up to that. It started all right. I liked the scenes with the bike rides in London. Nice action. Something new. Nice filming. But once she leaves London to go look for her father, it is all down hill from there.

So many plot holes and just boring stuff, that is insulting my intelligens: Why is the elequent guy on the boat, -who obviously went to the US and got an education and a perfect american-english accent - back on that boat? What?, he just desided to ditch the oportunities of the US and come back to the s...hole he came from, after taking an expensive education, and submerce in alcohol and filth for no reason? Yeah, right.. Oh - and they must be made of some special kind of tough, when they can survive a storm that absolutely trashes their steel boat on the cliffs, shreading it to pieces, but somehow be washed gently a shore by a tiny wave in the middle of that awfull thunderstorm, cough a bit, but without a scratch. And right after having body-river rafted on a speeding rapid, miraculesly NOT bumping knees, elbows or head on the countless sharp rocks of that river - plus be able to hold on (!!) to a bloody parashute with just her two arms, while it unfolds and saves her from getting killed going down through the trees. A parashute. In your arms. Through trees. Oh please..

And it goes on and on. It is so anoying. And once you notice, you just can't stop noticing all of it. Like; why would you put a intricate lock on a gate, if you realy dont want anyone to enter or exit? Why not just seal the entrence with a wall or something? Locks are ment to open, right?

And why not just kill the bad guy with that ax you throw, in stead of throwing it right next to him, then fist fight with him, then kick out the ladder from under him and then feed him the poisonous desease? Just use the ax to kill him in the first place - job done.

Oh well. Good acting though.
