The Love Witch (2016)
Stupid movie
The Exploitation film that's not an exploitation film, but is. It delves into the realms of the sublimely ridiculous and nonsensical, and makes no apologies for it. But hey, I guess The Witch is rocking that 1970s style eyeshadow..... whatever.
Holmes & Watson (2018)
It gets one star because you can't give it negative stars.
What. A. (S)hit. Show. Totally not funny. They try to make their lame jokes relatable to the current political climate and it just wasn't funny and didn't work. John Reilly should stay away from will farrell if he wants to be considered a respected actor.
Wow. Just wow. That's not a compliment.
Searching (2018)
THIS REVIEWER IS NOT CONNECTED TO THIS MOVIE IN ANY WAY!!!
IF I WAS YOU I WOULD JUST IGNORE THE TOP FIVE TO SEVEN REVIEWS OF THIS MOVIE ON HERE, BECAUSE IT SEEMS LIKE THEY WERE WRITTEN BY THE DIRECTOR, PRODUCER, AND OTHER PEOPLE ASSOCIATED WITH THIS FILM, PROBABLY EVEN FAMILY OR FRIENDS OF THEIRS. THEY EVEN HILARIOUSLY TRY TO MAKE THEIR DIALOGUE IN THE "REVIEW" SOUND LIKE SOMEONE WHO DOES NOT SPEAK ENGLISH. ITS SHAMEFUL AND RIDICULOUS!!!
This movie was ok. It wasn't a bad movie, but it wasn't an out of this world great story either. It was interesting, the twist in the story was good.
The Life and the Passion of Christ (2005)
Meh.
This was just ok, it had some interesting bits. I found the singing EXTREMELY off putting. It sounds like a female goat trying to passionately sing a spiritual and it was done so badly that you have to turn the volume down. The re-enactments are so badly acted they seem cheap, done on a shoestring budget.
Beowulf: Return to the Shieldlands (2016)
Extremely bad series!
You can only take so much of watching this garbage. This is a great series to watch if you've got hours and hours of your precious time to waste. It is very low quality in just about every respect. Poor script, lighting, graphics and on and on. William Hurt is probably so ashamed and hoping that no one will know that this is out there. If you're looking to waste your time watching a mind numbing, vapid, frivolous "woke" version of Beowulf, then this may be for you. You might want to consider other forms of entertainment that may be more interesting such as watching paint dry, counting cars in the parking lot, watching the grass grow, etc.. Seriously though, it would probably be a lot more interesting to read Beowulf and maybe watch some well made documentaries about it. This series was just pure rubbish.
Michelangelo: A Self Portrait (1989)
HORRIBLE
The stupid affected New York accent and bad pronunciation of Italian names and words was just way too distracting and became overbearing. Couldn't even finish watching.
The True Story: The Amityville Horror (2008)
Why?
The Lutz's were story was disproven and they were proven to be liars! Why anyone would believe those lying, disgusting old scumbag charlatains, the warrens defies belief! The warrens and their prevarications have been debunked many times. They have made their living from duping people with the outlandish claims. They are shameful people whose lies are criminal.
Geisha: Le crépuscule des fleurs (2004)
Cringe
I didn't even want to watch the rest of this "documentary ". Listening to the narrator mispronounce and butcher Japanese's names in words was like listening to someone clawing their fingernails along a chalkboard. Or the sound of someone biting down on a metal fork while pulling it out of their clenched teeth, then eating their food with their mouth wide open full of food. BTW it's geisha (gey-sha) not guy-EE-shaw!
300 Spartans: The Real Story (2015)
Hard To Take Seriously
I tried and tried to ignore the heavy Australian accents, which made it hard to take this documentary hard to take seriously. The portrayal of the historical figures by the Australian actors was bad. And the dialogue by the historical experts seemed very clunky.
Gateways to Faerie (2010)
Delusional People
Spoiler alert!
Delusional: characterized by or holding idiosyncratic beliefs or impressions that are contradicted by reality or rational argument, typically as a symptom of mental disorder.
Caution when watching this or allowing the very young to do so. This would be a very good teaching aide to show beginning psychology students the very definition of delusional people and delusional thinking! I love faeries as fictional creatures, because that's what they are. Why can't there ever be a good movie or show about them? There are a few good ones, but it's seems you either come across really bad fictional stories or you see these kind of "documentaries" proclaiming the reality of faeries. Oh brother! Somebody get these folks some help! Stage an intervention! Up their dose of meds! This "documentary" is a cry for help! I just couldn't be bothered to waste my time watching the entire thing, or I would be the one in need of an intervention.
