And this series was no exception. Why the need for the hammy Jennifer Coolidge house scene? Didnt fit in with the tone of the series at all. Other than then ending it was a decent watch...definitely not a horror. Infact not many scares at all which was a shame. Performances were a mixed bag....character actress margo martindale was great, as was mia farrow as the weird neighbours. Jennifer Coolidge was also great even though she played to type...she does it well! As for the family....meh....dont know if they made me care that much about their plight due to being generally annoying and not nice people. Worth a watch if nothing better on.

I wanted to give it a chance thinking RE fans were being too harsh (even though I am one myself) however it is really not good. It reads like more of a teen drama than a horror series. The ties to the RE universe is so weak it makes no sense to call it resident evil. It is so disappointing as I was quite hopeful for this series but what a let down. Why is it so hard to make a series true to the games? I dont understand why we couldnt have had a series based on events of RE1/2 simultaneously. The story is all laid out for them so it wouldn't have been hard....grrrr so frustrating.

Had relatively high hopes...not sure why as most of netflix other offerings have been just as poor.
Think 80s slasher but set in 90s - iconic soundtrack, annoying characters that you can't like and so dont care about, bad script, bad performances.....the list goes on.
I have watched all 3 and it wasnt worth it at all!

The trilogy massively peaked at part 2 so its all downhill from here.
The irish accents are just laughable. If you want to have the characters as irish immigrants then at least be sure they can do the accent. We had to put the subtitles on to understand what was being said.
The person playing Sarah is not a good actress which perhaps is why part 2 is the best in the series. The script is weak and predicable.
Honestly i only watched it as i had already suffered the other 2.

Yeah this one bored me. I didnt like a lot of the characters and the story just wasn't interesting unfortunately.
In AC i prefer stealth play but a lot of the time you are piling in with your whole crew which takes away the assassin element.
Lots to do for sure, so if you dont mind repetitive game play and like huge open worlds then this one is probably for you.

If you like horror games, this is essential playing. The super claustrophobic atmosphere will get your palms sweating as you plot your escape from the Baker house.
It mainly sticks to the RE mechanics of item management, sparse ammo and limited opportunities to save which all adds to the tension. It has some decent puzzles to solve and does the usual uncovering of items to unlock new rooms/areas.
The last section outside of the house kind of loses eith way a bit. But nonetheless a great addition to the series.

Season 1 is one of the best tv series i have ever seen. The acting is so spot on its almost like watching a documentary. The pacing is quite slow at times but for me this just reflected the feeling of dread and hopelessness the crew were feeling.
The 'terror' itself (not the boat the other one) was shown just rhe right amount and looked great. Not so crazy that it was totally unbelievable.
If you gave up on it because of the pacing i urge you to stick with it. You will not be disappointed!!

More fun, less scares

The intro to this game is one of the best i have seen. The art design is great and there really is a lot of detail in the surroundings to get you fully immersed. This game definitely didnt have me sweating as much as RE7 or previous RE games. I think there is something about having more outdoor exploration that takes away a lot of the tension compared to the last game where you are trapped inside a house for the most part. Still had a few jumpscare moments though!
Despite the lower scare factor, this game is still a lot of fun. The puzzles are quite straightforward but with a lot of running items back and forth in order to progress. The 4 lords are great characters....i would have liked moreau and benevieto sections to have been a bit longer tbh. I feel like i wanted to explore those areas more.
The merchant is a welcome readdition to the series and i liked having more comtrol over weapons and inventory.
Overall, its definitely worth a play....even if you are not a big RE/horror fan.
