Just okay one-time watch

In my opinion this movie was just okay. Watchable. Definitely had potential for more, could have been deeper, less obvious etc. But sometimes, when you're tired and just want to chill with a good old cliche is just fine. Quite predictable but there is some pleasure in this predictability in this particular genre. Plus beautiful shots of the middle of nowhere surrounding, pretty actors and some suspense moments. I wish there was more to the ending, explanation and some deeper meaning in the "why". It made no sense in my view and seemed that the director rushed towards an end without any idea how to connect all dots.

The Sinner: Part III (2020) Season 3, Episode 3

Dark, intense. The best season so far!

I really liked season 3 of the Sinner, it gives a deeper glimpse of detective Ambrose's personality and own struggles. It was fascinating to witness how Jamie reflected detective's own fears and how they relationship evolved. They both stood at the edge of the abyss and were more alike than any of them wanted to admit. Some parts of the plot were illogical or unnecessarily prolonged, that's true, but the overall reception of the series in my view is very positive and I'm happy season 4 is in the making! Bill Pullman is the best.

The Perfect Match (2016)

Not that funny for a comedy, not romantic enough for a romantic movie

From the start I knew this movie would be just bad... But it didn't stop me from giving it a shot. I should have known better.. The pros are definitely beautiful screens of California, good looking and likable people, nice music here and there. In general, the visual side is quite enjoyable. The cons however, outweight the pros. The script about a womanizer who finally falls in love has been repeated dozens of times! The predictability isn't a bad thing. Here, unfortunately, it is neither lighthearted nor funny. Characters are stereotypical, flat and one dimensional. Easily forgettable. Forced jokes, fake chemistry and - to me- annoying ending without proper lessons learned. Next time I'll follow my gut instinct and select another movie.
