Wonder Woman 1984 (2020)
I thought that it was a great movie but with some problems
The acting was great, the sets and the shots were great, the story was great. My one problem was that every guy in the movie besides like 4 dudes were complete perverts. Other than that, I think that the ending is great and really emotional.
Batwoman (2019)
This show is terrible
Does anyone in this show know how to write. This is an absolute disaster of a show. The acting and directing is choppy and the show just looks terrible. It's like in Titans where they made the show darker so it looked more gritty and realistic, except it just makes everything incredibly unpleasant to look at.
Supergirl (2015)
Bad, just bad
This show suffers through most of it just trying too hard. They try too hard to make Kara come off as powerful and awesome and it just alienates its audience. It has more tell, and less show. It will tell us Kara is powerfully, but we don't actually see it. When it does try to show us how powerful she is, it comes off as unimpressive and forced. For example, in season two, Kara has to save a train from falling to it's destruction (you see the same thing in Superman: The Movie), but what is different here is that when she is holding the rails together she has trouble, struggles, but when Superman did the same thing then, he did it with ease. And it gets to tell us that Kara is Stronger than Superman, count me not convinced. And on top of that, the interactions don't feel as natural as "The Flash" for instance. Some of the characters don't have as good chemistry or as fleshed out relationships. Which is another example of the show, telling instead of showing. It's just a big bag of Cringe.
Supergirl: Nevertheless, She Persisted (2017)
The entire episode is ruined by one thing
So I got done with episode 21, and was excited to see the big fight between Superman and Supergirl. So it starts off pretty good, the fight is well paced. And then we get to the end it's just a big punchout between the Man and Girl of steel. WoW, wHaT a GReaT FiGht. Supergirl wins, that's it. One of the best things about her is that she can use her brain, and her words to solve problems. But no, they just fight and she wins no big deal. And that brings up another problem, they (the writers) lazily explain it away that she was "stronger than Superman". That doesn't work on so many different levels. First of all, Kara has 2 years of experience under her belt, Superman has at least 10-15 years. That doesn't make sense. And second of all, the only reason they did it is because the writers want themselves to feel empowered through Supergirl being better than Superman, not to make their target audience (girls) feel empowered. That is why I give this 1 star.
