Ragnarok: Ragnarok (2023)
NOPE
Love the show, but this episode was not an acceptable ending for the series. Actually, just the reasoning of it being all in his head was not acceptable. With the conclusion of the battle that played out that only Magne could see the spirits of the gods left them each. That is how everything else there works and ties in together.
The battle scene was cool, and I can view that as Magne seeing the original battle play out as each god left their host body and now he and the other are all human again but with good and evil left in balance again. But differently, and maybe better than this time. Can't remeber the last time I was so disappointed in a shows ending except GoT.
Legends of Tomorrow (2016)
Love love love !
First couple seasons came off as cheesy. But I love that they have now fully embraced the comedy and humor! We need a show like this, more fun than the Flash and not dark like Arrow. It is a completely different tone that was needed , and so far a great rotation of storylines and villians. My biggest complaint is letting Brandon Routh go. 9.
Ragnarok (2020)
Love love love!!
Netflix better continue this awesome show! I love all the Norse mythology they are pulling in and twisted difficult situations they create using the stories from mythology. I completely did not see it coming with Jormungandr! I have read the old mythology stories and love how they are weaving so much in. I dont believe in shows draggin on, but they have enough source material to bring in so many other gods and get a few more seasons. With only 3 giants that might not be necessary, but they at least need to complete the story they started with a couple more seasons.
Big Game (2014)
A Young Spielberg is brewing in this Director!
I discovered Rare Exports a few years ago, and it became my favorite Christmas movie! Its a coming of age moment, blended with old mythology. Not horror to me...for me it carries that Spielberg vibe of young protagonist knowing the situation early on with adult disbelief. So often these come off as so bad and cheesey, but the director pulls it off with Rare Exports, and again with Big Game. I really want to commend Samual L. Jackson on taking on his role and trying to expose this writer/director. I recommend watching Big Game after Rare Exports because the main characters are the same, about 5 years apart. You will love it more if you watch Rare Exports first.
