Not my kind of film normally but I liked it
12 April 2024
This is not normally my type of film, with a premise of a car journey, but this film had a lot more hidden in its closet.

There are plenty of huh, what, why and whatever's in this film but it is a good watch, the film flew by which is usually a good sign, and the 2 main characters were played well and were easy to get involved with.

I am Unaware of the actors from this movie, but I hope to see them again in future films.

A couple of twists and turns, but to be fair most films do have them nowadays and these were no shock horror ones,

If you want something to while away a bit of time give it a go, I am glad I did, there could be a follow up to this film and if there is I will give that a watch too..

What a painful watch
9 April 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Where to start with this shambles of a film, ok let's be fair and say that they tried and this is why I am stretching as far as 3 stars for this disaster,

Too many no no's in this film from the ridiculous 5mph scooter drag races, the white youth talking like yardies with poor conviction, the awful attempt of battling like 8 mile and the characters in general are hard to get involved with.

Ash is the main character if there is one at all, and this film fails to get you rooting for him, he has a motive for all his wrongdoings, but you fail to really get the 2 connected, I am not sure if this is due to a actor although fairly ok is out of his depth in a lead role or if the writing was not good enough, It feels like the writers have seen the success of TopBoy and thought hey I can do that, sadly they have failed.

Let's wrap this up and say, if you like me am struggling to find something to watch then give it a go, but keep your expectations low and you won't be disappointed.

Yes and No
10 March 2024
I liked this I will say from the start, but in truth it is a 2 hour film dragged out over 8 episodes.

Some of the characters were a no no, especially Theo the main character, I still see him as the annoying rep from the Inbetweeners movie, Susie,Jack and Freddie however were exceptional. This may just be me if you haven't seen The Inbetweeners movie, but I don't think he played anything different apart from the coksure fool.

The film sorry series is a typical Guy Ritchie adventure, with too many characters that would probably not of been missed if they were not even mentioned in this series.

Gus from Breaking Bad is as always a top actor, and Vinnie Jones although mot a great actor, never disappoints in his role.

If there was a second series would I watch it YES, but I would rather they did it as a film.

Only thing worse than this programme is Clare Dunne's acting
14 February 2024
Oh so disappointing, after watching and loving Love Hatr, I sat down with high expectations of a similar feast. How wrong can one be,

The characters in the show are ok, although some of the acting is awful, and Clare Dunne's portrayal of Amanda is as wooden as you will see, I am sorry but she stunk the place out. The father of the family Frank is more like a cowardly Lion rather than a crime lord and somehow still gets respect from the people around him. This kind of story has been done many times before and unfortunately this one falls well short.

Only positive I find from this show is that if I see any other programme Clare Dunne is in I will abound it, and it will save me many wasted hours.

So Disappointing
19 January 2024
Warning: Spoilers
Where do you start with this poor excuse of a film, first of all there is no real storyline, you get thrown into it where a load of kids on motorbikes rob a food van and take it back to the estate for the people, Why this estate has become what it is is anybody's guess, you never get to know any of the characters back stories or what reason the police want the people out of the estate. Kano seems to be the main character and his acting was good, but on reading the script I am surprised he put his name to it. Isn't Wright plays the role of Lord Kitchen who I can only say is like a hospital Radio DJ, playing a few songs and making a few announcements over the tannoy, He dies. And his funeral gathers a large crowd, for what reason I am unsure ad you don't get to know anything about the character they could of saved some money and got someone off the street to play this part, as he literally did nothing in it.

If you are hoping it will be anything like TopBoy then you will be sorely disappointed, to be fair I wasn't expecting it to be like TopBoy and I was still disappointed.

I hope to see Kano in bigger and better things, as he deserves it.

So in summary The start was ok, The ending was non existent and the less said about the middle the better.

Awful just awful
22 November 2023
Thought I was gonna be watching something entertaining like the first series of The Squid Game, but not this is anything but entertaining.

It is full of bland contestants who are trying to act like they were in the original series, I just wished it was more real life and these people were truly eliminated.

The best way to describe this, is if you gathered all the failures in Pop Idol etc and put them in a room together and then told them the most annoying person would win, then this is the formula you would have,

So in short I hated every second of it, but no doubt someone will like, but hopefully not enough that they do a follow ip.

Top Boy (2011–2023)

A great show with a terrible final season
8 September 2023
I have loved TopBoy from the original series and was so happy it was resurrected, the first 2 new series gave me everything I wanted and was joy to watch. I loved the characters and Sully in particular was the Topboy the enacting was great and storylines were well written, Sadly the final series has left me underwhelmed, the six part series just felt like it was rushed, there is no real storyline flipping from immigration protests to evri toon protests Tia little bit of what we all tuned in for.

To me Sully again showed he was the Topboy and Dushane just did not fit the part, but what I think let me down was the ending, I have seen many shows that failed to deliver and I think this unfortunately is one of them, the last part was entertaining in parts and showed us all what we expected from the series but it was predictable that as we knew this was the last season all dates were obvious.

Love the show, just don't buy the main character
14 July 2023
There are many things I love and hate about this show, and unfortunately the main character falls into latter part, Things are dragged out a bit but that is forgiven as the show runs smoothly. The show is good and intelligent, however I just don't for some reason think the main character suits the role, A Harvey Spectre would be better, but it seems we got a Harvey Spectre from Wish in this programme. All the other characters are likeable as is the main character, but being likeable doesn't make you right for the part. Not sure this series will last for many years with the main character but I can't see them rectifying their mistake 2 series in.

Lazy writing
14 April 2023
Wanted to like this so much as I live a courtroom drama, however this was spoilt within the first 10 mins, as the main character is chosen as the final reserve juror, ooooooh the suspense, I am sorry lazy writing which has been done thousands of times, and I would rather they concentrate on the actual plot rather than trying to pretend that you care that this person may not be selected as a juror, Many good courtroom Dramas out the without this cheap and obvious storyline, I am Sorry but this just annoyed me, , I will not comment further as not to spoil series for anyone who wants to watch it.
