Very Touching

Warning: Spoilers
I really enjoyed watching this film because this film shows you what it is like for someone like Harvey Keitel to live and be involved in raising his two daughters after his wife recently passed away. I cried at the end where you see that he could have easily ran away; however, he decides to come back and serve time all because he did not want to miss his daughter's graduation. This shows that he might have been a dishonest person; however, in the end he showed his daughters how much they really meant to him and that he would do anything for them.

It saddens you when you learn of his death because you really wish that he would be there to see his daughters and to continue being a wonderful family that they once were.

Starts out good, ends horribly

Warning: Spoilers
I liked this movie at the beginning where it showed Vrinks(Autiel) and Klein(Depardieu) at talks and those that are willing to work together; however, I did not like the fact that everyone had something against Klein before the stakeout. This movie showed Klein really being pushed over the edge by his wife, co-workers and others.

The thing that I did not like about this movie was that it made it seem that Klein was the only bad person. During the stakeout, where they try to stop the robbers, Klein disobeys an order by getting out of the car and trying to stop the robbers on his own. This creates a huge shootout and one of Vrinks' people gets killed. this causes Vrinks and everyone, to try to get Klein in trouble and punished, to which Klein finds a person that saw Leo Vrinks with and Informant, involved in a murder of three people, this Klein uses to his own advantage. Knowing this, Klein has Vrinks arrested and then all charges against Klein are dropped.

Later, Klein tries to find out more and this involves Camille Vrinks (Leo's wife), the informant meets up with Camille and while Klein tries to stop the informant, they and Camille end up going of a small hill, their car flipping, and they both get killed. Klein kills the informant.

To make a long story short, Vrinks wants to kill Klein; however, having found out that he did not kill Camille, Vrinks leaves the gun at the restroom causing Klein to go outside and curse at him. Then Klein gets killed by 2 motorcyclists from the beginning of the movie. Vrinks and his daughter Lola leave France then.

I was only pointing out that this movie is horrible at the end because it does not give Klein a chance in anything. Vrinks was not a good person and neither was Klein. I do not see how Vrinks was an honest cop if he did not say anything about the murder by his informant.

This whole movie is horrible

Horrible Truth; Horribly presented
22 August 2006
Warning: Spoilers
I must say that the truth is very scary and the solution to ending Human Trafficking should take place NOW. I have to say that Mira Sorvino was so horrible in this movie, that it made the whole movie seem unrealistic, which is very sad because the truth is very scary and it should not have been made to be a focus on how Sorvino could act. Robert Carlyle was the only person that was able to act just right, not too much and not too little. Robert Carlyle is an outstanding actor that can play basically every part that he is given. Sutherland and Sorvino were a joke in this movie. I must say that is saddens me to see something that tries to show the scary reality, but tends to focus on how some people can star in the movie.

This movie made me feel that it was made for pleasure and not to prove a point.

Interesting flick actually

Warning: Spoilers
I would like to say that I enjoyed watching this movie. I would never tell you that it is a movie that should win an award, but this is a good entertainment flick. The actors in this movie were good, I particularly liked how Michael Pare starred. He reminds me of the French actor Alain Delon; also, Roy Scheider had a good role as the villain who had plans to kill the good people. Oleg Taktarov was also outstanding in this movie and the way he acted. The best part was when Pare uses a small firearm and shoots Scheider's helicopter down with only one bullet. It is also amazing how at the end of the movie, you find out Pare's real profession. If you like action and suspense, I would recommend this movie.
